Slight flaw in your assertion here. Robert Byrd was never Grand Wizard of KKK.Declan MacPherson wrote: ↑July 22, 2024, 10:54 amNow there's talk that Manchin will enter the race at the DNC convention. Will the Democrats pick a white male friend of a Klansman to leapfrog Kamala? That would be too funny for words.
Imagine the level of indoctrination it takes for people to believe that everyone else are the racists.

Reading comprehension is a vanishing skill.
Grand Wizard is not equal to a Grand Cyclops.
The precise title that Byrd held was that of the Exalted Cyclops. Duties shown below:

The precise title that Byrd held was that of the Exalted Cyclops. Duties shown below:
He presides over the Council of the Centaurs and writes quarterly reports to the Grand Giant. In the Klan hierarchy, each local chapter, or Klavern, is led by an Exalted Cyclops. This member is typically elected by his fellow Klansmen and serves a one-year term. According to the original 1867 Prescript of the Ku Klux Klan, the Exalted Cyclops reports to a Grand Giant, or provincial leader; a Grand Dragon, or state director; and the Grand Wizard, or national chair. Below the Cyclops on the org chart were the Grand Magi, the Grand Monk, the Grand Exchequer, the Grand Turk, and, finally, the rank-and-file members known as Ghouls or Knights. (Many of these titles have changed over time, and most of the sub-Cyclops ranks have been eliminated.) The Exalted Cyclops’ responsibilities include presiding over Klavern meetings, initiating new members, and appointing Councils of Centaurs—that’s Klan-speak for a jury—to try and punish wayward Ghouls.

Re: U.S. Politics
There is a slight flaw in your statement here, Whistler. The poster never stated that Byrd was a Grand Wizard of the KKK. Your research might find this though,
https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/ta ... -mind-raceAs Robert Byrd passes, an era in race relations ends. Byrd started his political life as an Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan. In 1944, Byrd wrote the following in a letter to Senator Theodore Bilbo: "I shall never fight in the armed forces with a Negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." Byrd filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act for 14 hours.
Byrd changed his mind later in life. In some respects, that change seems to have been politically motivated; maybe it was only politics at first. In 1997, he had this advice for up-and-coming politicians: "Be sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Don't get that albatross around your neck. Once you've made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena."

Correct LYM. Can I add further clarification the photo shown is several decades after Byrd held that role, he was no longer grand Cyclops and expressed great regret that he was a member of the KKK in the 1940sLaan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑July 22, 2024, 1:55 pmThere is a slight flaw in your statement here, Whistler. Bryd has no relevance in this election. What's too funny for words is the Trump-Epstein connection because, remember, this is the Q-ANON candidate.

The relevant one is Manchin (who was a close colleague of Byrd) with plans to throw his hat into the ring for POTUS.
Even The Guardian story about a young girl labels their link as being over 7 years old; and that story has all the earmarks of being just another in a long line of failed lawfare attempts to get Trump.
I guess anyone who has ever known a criminal and has had a photo with them is also a criminal. If that's what you believe, then don't vote for Trump, anefarious.

Obama AG Eric H. Holder, Jr. has announced that he will be vetting candidate running mates for Kamala. With this, no endorsement of Kamala needed from Obama. It's baked in or Holder wouldn't be doing it.

A fit, relatively young if slightly underwhelming female candidate with no real baggage, against a lying, old, mentally declining, overweight (obese?), sex predator, felon, insurrectionist cult leader.
Bring it on.

Yes, cult leaders seem to have that sort of influence over the overwhelmingly ignorant masses.
I note that his opponent received 7 million+ more votes.

Another non-republican & non-democrat's take on the current state of affairs.
Pitty about Tulsi's alliance with Trump now but otherwise she makes some good points.
And then the similarities to Julia Louis-Dreyfus' playing Selina Meyer in the HBO comedy 'Veep':

Now may be a good time to watch Veep rather than this actual election unfolding.

Re: U.S. Politics
Democrat voters overwhelmingly rejected Kamala in 2020. She was forced to drop out of the primary before voting ever started. She finished 4th or 5th in a poll in her state of California.
She has no baggage because she hasn't done a damn thing as either a senator or as VP; and Black American voters do not embrace her cultural appropriation. She ain't Black. Kamala is a Jamaican/Indian anchor baby; and everyone knows it.
Her record as AG in California crippled the Black Community and Black Americans are rejecting her for the following reasons:
1. She created a bail fund for rioters in 2020 who destroyed neighborhoods and cities to push a political agenda. That is terrorism. She helped them skate instead of condemning them.
2. She supported two propositions in California that exacerbated crime and made it incredibly difficult for law enforcement to stop crime. She promoted No Cash Bail against the will of California voters. These two efforts put Californians in danger.
3. She was tasked with solving the border crisis. She only went to the border because she was pressured and all she did was peek at it to find “root causes." In progressive code language that is "I ain’t gonna do ---- about this.” Illegal Aliens are taking jobs away from minorities in the United States.
4. She engages in race baiting and fear mongering. This let's everyone know that she has zero solutions to the many issues faced by Americans.
5. She is even further left than Joe Biden.
The VP office of Kamala Harris has been where duty, ideas and projects have gone to die.

As for her background she is American.
