Dec
I took the time to search your posting (what else does a retired 72 year old have to do) " Bill Whitaker to Kamala: “You’ve changed your positions so much that no one believes anything.”"
Kamala: “Well, I’m the vice president and I travel a lot.”

The closest was this 60-minute interview, again nothing mentioned. You didnt leave a link in your posting for us to follow. So, am I to believe that you are preparing a post for Wikipedia?

This story from The Hill shows the transcript of what was said during the relevant part of the interview.

It is further information of the complete, and therefore not misleading, variety.

Disgraceful mis-quote and partial quotation to give an incorrect impression of what she said. Here's her actual answer:
“In the last four years I have been vice president of the United States. And I have been traveling our country. And I have been listening to folks and seeking what is possible in terms of common ground. I believe in building consensus. We are a diverse people.”

Kamala didn't answer the question. Yet again. A disgraceful answer for someone running for POTUS.

Besides the fact that she has never been interested in common ground or building consensus.

Yes, she did. She was asked about her changing positions. Building consensus means that people have to compromise, or modify their previous positions.

Compare, say, to candidate Vance, who, when asked about the violence on January 6th, said that he prefers to look forward. In other words, he prefers not to talk about it.

When I read this, my first thought was "crazy SE Asian politics again".
Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ church registers for Philippine senate elections from behind bars

The self-proclaimed "appointed son of God" has registered for the Philippine senate elections, despite being behind bars.

Apollo Quiboloy is wanted by the FBI for sex trafficking and other offences, but has registered for the poll through his lawyer.

Candidates are only disqualified from running for election if they have exhausted all avenues of appeal after being convicted of offences involving "moral turpitude".

And then I remembered who is one of the current POTUS candidates in the USA. 🤮

Migrants the world over knew that as soon as Joe and Kamala took the White House they would open the border wall and reverse Trump's immigration policies.

Now Kamala claims that they "need Congress to act to fix the problem."

They didn't need Congress when they refused to enforce immigration laws; and they didn't need Congress when they reversed all of Trump's border policies.

Oh dear!
Donald Trump killed the bipartisan border bill to save his campaign

Trump killed a bipartisan bill because he knew it would render his entire campaign irrelevant. And now, he's visiting the Arizona border to complain.

Donald Trump is able to go to the U.S. border with Mexico and rail about a crisis because he made sure there was a crisis to rail about.

Earlier this year, Republicans in the U.S. Senate bowed to Trump’s demands and killed a bipartisan security bill introduced by Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, Republican Sen. James Lankford of Oklahoma and Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut.

Trump even bragged about killing the border security package, saying, “I think we killed it. I think it’s dead! But you can never say it because bad bills always come back to life because these guys make a lot of money with bad bills.”

Trump didn't have to demand anything.

That bill didn't secure the border, and it automatically allowed in HUNDREDS of illegals a day with a cap that did not have to be enforced. Biden would have made the decision to cap or not; and he hasn't capped anything.

That's why the bill was defeated. It didn't stop illegals.

Actually, it was a bipartisan bill which was agreed to by the Republican senators until Trump told them to oppose it. He may not have had to demand opposition, as you said, but he did.

Just out of curiosity, which part(s) of Senator Lankford's bill do you oppose as insufficient and weak? No amnesty, no free work permits, funds the wall, ends catch-and-release, -- take a look at the provisions at the link below. Those provisions are what the bipartisan bill provided, that Trump opposed. According to Senator Lankford, who wrote the bill, your allegations of what it does and doesn't do are simply false.

Here's a summary: https://www.lankford.senate.gov/issues/ ... the-world/

And here's the actual proposed legislation, which satisfied Republican senators, but not Donald Trump: https://www.lankford.senate.gov/wp-cont ... C24166.pdf

This is what ultimately killed the bill -- the fine print:
The 370-page bill included a three-year policy to shut down the processing of asylum applications from people who crossed illegally if the number of expulsions and apprehensions of migrants reaches a weeklong average of 4,000. It would create a mandated shutdown after a weeklong average of 5,000 or more.

The bill included a supplemental aid package requested by President Joe Biden for foreign conflicts, which would have appropriated $60 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel and $10 billion for humanitarian aid, including in Gaza.
A weekly average of 5,000 Illegals -- 20,000 Illegals a month -- before any effort would be made to shut it down. The kicker was that the bill gave Biden the authority to shut it down or not. So the illegals could keep streaming in.

More foreign aid for uFKNkraine and aid for Gaza were nonstarters as well.

As usual, it was another smoke & mirrors attempt by Democrats with help from GOPe Mush RATs and RepubliCANTs.

As I believe you have done before, you selectively quoted those parts of the article that suited your agenda. Consider these quotes from the same article in The Oklahoman, at the same link you provided:
In the weeks leading up to the border package vote in February, former President Donald Trump, leveraging his popularity with GOP voters, lobbied Republicans in Congress to oppose the deal.
On the "The Dan Bongino Show," Trump targeted Lankford by saying the bill was “very bad” for his career.
Some members of the Oklahoma Republican Party met in January to censure Lankford over what they called his "open border deal." The state party's chair, Nathan Dahm, later said the meeting was illegal and the censure was not an official position of the Oklahoma GOP.
Sound familiar? Same thing happened to Liz Cheney when she had the gall to oppose Trump.
Oklahoma County GOP Chair Ken Warner told The Oklahoman that Saturday’s censure vote against Lankford was because of details in the border bill.

"It's really because he's said he's willing to allow 5,000 illegals ... per day," Warner said. "That was part of the border bill. ... That was one of the things in there."

Lankford has complained the deal has been misunderstood.

"It would be absolutely absurd for me to agree to 5,000 people a day. This bill focuses on getting us to zero illegal crossings a day," he told Fox News in January. "This is not about letting 5,000 people in a day. ... This is set up for, if you have a rush of people coming at the border, the border closes down. No one gets in."

And as for your allegations about what the bill says?
A weekly average of 5,000 Illegals -- 20,000 Illegals a month -- before any effort would be made to shut it down. The kicker was that the bill gave Biden the authority to shut it down or not. So the illegals could keep streaming in.

I provided a link to the bill above. Try searching the bill for any of the relevant terms in what you said. "5,000" "60" "14" "10" "dollars" "$" "Ukraine" "Gaza" "Palestine" "Palestinians" -- They aren't there. Don't believe everything you read, get the information yourself, particularly when pretty much everything is available on the internet.

CNN destroys Kamala Harris following recent claim on The View

Kamala pretends that she has not been the VP for four years; but she can't think of one thing that she would do differently when asked.

Please, let's stay at least a bit grounded.

1. CNN didn't "slam" Kamala. CNN is never going to "slam" any Dem running against Trump. CNN is a left media outlet. Not woke, but certainly left.

2. Sky News (of Australia) is a right-wing media outlet, far to the right of Fox News U.S.

3. She said exactly what a Vice President should say, the same position that Pence took during Trump's presidency, even though he disagreed with Trump on many issues. It wasn't until Trump ordered him to violate the Constitution that he had enough and refused to follow his leader. But a VP is supposed to be loyal to his/her President. That's the job. There should never be light between them. But it would be naïve to think that her administration and policies will be identical to those of Biden.

The difference beteween us, Declan, is that you have a knee-jerk negative reaction to anything Biden or Harris, ignoring anything negative on the part of your preferred candidate, Trump. On the other hand, I evaluate policies and decisions of a President based on the substance of the policy or decision, not on the person who made it.

Would that be the same as manipulating sound and video films to produce a false TV show.
Is your 'Progressive' thinking that all I want to hear is my preferred version/falsification of fact.
You boast that you never look at alternative publications so its fairly obvious that your views are slightly biased.
