HERE IS THE TRUTH:

Trump's supporters don't measure his success by what he does for them, they measure by what he does AGAINST people they don't like. That's why they see him as being "successful." This is why they will NEVER abandon him. His tormenting of the "others" sustains them.

LBJ once said:

“If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

This is a concept Trump understands very well. He's a master manipulator and has seriously damaged the country and he's not done.
