Re: Trump 2025
One wonders how much profit or loss the U.S. makes in the illegal/legal gun trade with Canada. Also, it seems the stock markets are pleased that President Trump backed down from imposing the 25% tariff on his northern neighbour. His strategy seems to be to threaten and then back down to a more reasonable position.
One hopes he doesn't also cave on keeping biological males out of female sports or getting rid of die (diversity, inclusion and equity).

Canada backed down and complied with Trump's demands. Canada's reward was a 30 Day postponement of the tariff to see how well Trudeau complies. The tariff did not go away.Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑February 6, 2025, 3:27 pmOne wonders how much profit or loss the U.S. makes in the illegal/legal gun trade with Canada. No fear - they will stay (for better or worse), as they are the sorts of obscure, right-wing culture war issues that he uses to nourish his cult base.Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑February 6, 2025, 3:27 pm

And do you wonder where Melania is while all this crap is going on? Definitely not in the White House. Only seen her once since he won the election. Didn't look too happy during the inorgeration!
She, obviously, knows he is as big as a wa--nker as 95% of us on this forum, from various nationalities including USA.

Difficult question DD.
Trump does not seem to remember what and why he said something yesterday.
Never mind he will soon be too preoccupied with building Trump Tower on the Gaza Rivera.
Money, money, money, must be money as the rich lunatic said.

Yup, playing fast and loose with the law works just fine for the likes of Maduro in Venezuela and his heavily stacked supreme court as well (thanks Chavez!)Declan MacPherson wrote: ↑February 6, 2025, 12:37 pmWhen SCOTUS ruled in July 2024 that Presidents have broad immunity for official acts as president, the SCOTUS also ruled that the POTUS is the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch of government.
The Supreme Court affirmed the Unitary Executive principle around the Constitution. The 6-3 opinion held that the President is “a person alone who comprises a branch of government.”
The Executive Branch is the President.
POTUS can fire anyone he likes in the Executive Branch. The straightjacket is gone. While there are areas of shared constitutional responsibility, the core powers of the Executive Branch, including personnel, are the President’s alone.
Schedule F
Boom.
Then again, if you want to run with the big dawgs, better keep your executive jet parked closer to the palace, like Putin.

"IS THIS HOW IT ALL ENDS? Like the image below, I feel like I’m watching a wrecking ball swing toward USAID, sanctioned by President Trump but orchestrated by his real Vice President—Elon Musk. It’s surreal (like a bad scenario in the move, The Matrix), dangerous, and illegal.Declan MacPherson wrote: ↑February 6, 2025, 3:36 amSomething else for the sour-grapes contemptuous Leftists to ignore and/or nitpick.
Trump shuts down USAID, recalls foreign operatives and places employees on administrative leave.
Why? This is has been the Deep State slush fund for many years.
- Politico shut down on the same day that the money flow stopped to USAID
- Funds were given to the BBC and other Leftist media outlets to push a narrative
- Propped up anti-Orban media in Hungary
- Funding LGBTQ promotions in foreign countries
- Funded numerous Leftist street protests in the US and around the world
- Funded the pro-Ukraine narrative and Ukraine news organizations
- money-laundering operations worldwide
The list is almost endless.

Samantha Power.jpg
It was being run by Samantha Power, an Obama holdover who was previously accused of unlawfully unmasking US citizens through the FISA 702 warrantless searches during the Russia Collusion HOAX against Trump and political allies.
As each hour passes, more and more corruption has been uncovered.
In a nutshell: the CIA is the kitchen back room of the State Department restaurant front; and USAID was the VIP special delivery for operations that could not be directly financed by the CIA or State. And make no mistake. There are GOPe Mush RATs involved too.
. .
It took 65 years to build USAID into a strong, positive force, representing America in 120 countries with a mission spanning global health, economic growth, education, poverty reduction, disaster relief, clean energy, and infrastructure development. For just $23 billion a year—0.2% of the federal budget—USAID strengthens U.S. business interests abroad while saving and improving millions of lives.
Yet, in just two weeks, this administration is tearing it all down—led by a president who won by 1.2% of the vote and a billionaire whose companies have received billions in U.S. government support but refuses to see the value of American leadership in global development.
USAID SHUT DOWN – THE DAMAGE BEGINS
Last night, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, acting as USAID Administrator, ordered a near-total suspension of the agency’s operations, putting nearly 10,000 employees on leave and requiring overseas staff to return to the U.S. within 30 days. Contractors not deemed essential have been laid off, USAID’s headquarters shut down, and many employees locked out of their systems.
Rubio claims this is to bring the agency under control, citing “rank insubordination”—without evidence. The legal basis is highly questionable, as USAID was created by Congress, not the Executive Branch. Meanwhile, global health, food security, education, and disaster relief programs are frozen, disrupting millions of lives worldwide.
WHERE IS THE THIN BLUE LINE?
What’s next? Will we let Musk, Trump, and Rubio dismantle a globally respected institution just for the sake of chaos and control? What can we all do to create a Thin Blue Line of protection?
Call your Representative and Senator. Demand they block this destruction.
Speak out. The more people know, the harder it is to bury.
Support legal action. If the Supreme Court won’t stop this, we must.
Those designing and implementing this decapitation of USAID have no integrity, no honor, no interest in the common good. This isn’t about policy—it’s about power, destruction, and control.
I would say God help us, but that won’t be enough. We must be the thin blue line. Let’s do this."

Does your statement that Samantha was accused . . . . mean that it was never proven? If it was, why did you choose "accused"?
Your repeated assertions that everything that Biden did was corrupt and everything that Trump did/does is as pure as snow is laughable. I can't think of a President who didn't abuse his power in one way or another.
Sure, Biden pardoned his family. And Trump pardoned Jared's father.
