About the only good things that would come out of Canada joining the U.S. is if Musk and his team move quickly to trim the bureaucracy here and end the waste of money that goes on which robs Canadians of money. The other great moves would be to prevent men from playing women's sports and ending Woke. So far, Doge although not perfect, is doing a great job for the U.S. public.

Loads of people believe this DOGE organization is doing great things. Be wary because they are not looking in the rearview mirror and see what damage they are doing.
An example is when you think you are fixing one problem while creating another or even worse a bigger one. Example was and is the firing if Nuclear Operations personnel.
They are moving too fast

Another are the repercussions of tariffs Canada and other countries are being particular in their shopping and travel
One customs free shop on the USA/Canda border is quoting of 80% loss of business

I completely agree that waste in government should be rooted out, and corruption both rooted out and prosecuted. But the idea that only the left has these problems is laughable.

Well, doesn't that just say it all. In this country, where Trump and Musk say that they champion free speech, Republicans, and anyone else who disagrees with them, are "mush rats". Got it.

GOPe Mush RATs are GOP Establishment members of the political class who lie, are weak and stab their voters in back (Mush RATs). They undermine the main tenets of the Republic -- the Constitution, Free Enterprise and Individual Liberty.

The origin of the terminology came long before 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐏 or Leon.

Moments ago, 900+ career DOJ lawyers signed an open letter in support of ongoing Lawfare operations against 𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐌𝐏 and the American judicial system.

Put another way, 900 career DOJ lawyers, who used Main Justice as their platform to participate in corrupting and weaponizing the American judicial system for their own financial benefit, have now publicly self-identified.

- Legal abusers within the system
- Professional gaslighters
- Lawfare activists

They have abused the trust of Americans and twisted, distorted and torn at the foundational fabric of the US constitutional republic. All the while, they claimed moral superiority and cloaked their efforts in victimhood.

They are self-identifying and self-deporting from the system. America is winning again.

Nobody's arguing its origins, but some are keenly aware that on this platform, it has become distinctly unique, almost Declanesque.

US and Russia agree to a communication and consultation mechanism for peace talks, and embassy staffing will return in Moscow and DC.

Rubio discussed the 'next steps' and long term goals, which includes a strategic partnership, geopolitically and economically, between the US and Russia.

The fear within that alignment is why Europe is freaking out.

So the Trump with his huge political experience and deep knowledge of Geopolitics is preparing to enter into " a strategic partnership, geopolitically and economically, between the US and Russia."
Thank the gods he will be away in less than 4 years. In the mean time the nuclear arsenals will still be pointing at each other.
Wonder if this will reduce the cost of shopping baskets in the USA.

Trump is discussing the issuance of a DOGE dividend tax refund to American taxpayers.

Of course, the 48% of wage earners who do NOT pay federal income tax won't be scheduled to get anything. Only the Achievers -- those 52% who have skin in the game -- should get anything in return.

Takes loads of questions and comes up with the same inane answers.
EU charging VAT on goods is not anti USA its the same as purchase tax or any other kind of personal tax, its a tax on the people.
He then waffles on about Ukraine as if it is the Ukrainians fault for having to defend itself against a murderous invasion of it's sovereign territory and causing the casualties, while claiming that he would have stopped his mate Pootin from actually invading without going into details of how.
While admiring his acts at ridding the USA of left wing progressive idiocy some of his foreign policy decisions (rants) are similar to the petty dictators of the 1930's who caused so much international carnage.
Has he reduced the costs of a shopping basket in the USA yet?

Oh my ...the refreshingly desperate stench of populism already.

Didn't take long but why the rush? The mid-terms are a while away just yet.

For the slow learners in the back:
The VAT is not an import tax, but it IS a tax on all goods that is added to the total cost.

So in reciprocal tax circles, the VAT is included in calculating the new balanced taxes on imported goods to the US.
Image

The same people who whine about consumers having to pay more for goods due to an import tax, conveniently ignore the VAT. But it's what people do who suffer from cognitive dissonance.

Lots of weasel words trying to hide the fact that VAT is not a tax on imports. Import tax levies are controlled by governments. VAT (same as purchase tax) is charged on final cost to the consumer not what country the goods come from.
Has the cost of a shopping basket in the USA been reduced yet? :-"
