Forgot to mention the "wall" that will need to be built between Northern and Southern Ireland to stop EU members just walking into UK ](*,)

EU in or out? Brexit: The Movie

Over the last few weeks n months heard many comments such as ... it wont effect me i live here (Thailand) but as well as the obvious currency/sterling issues looming there is another factor which was pointed out to me by a wise old Tap customer last night ....... all Brits currently holding the EU passport will have to get a new one and as many can attest to it is a pain in the bottom to do so when living here ..and then theres that visit to Immo to get all the stamps changed over which is a free service OR MAYBE NOT ..

Stilll very close at the mo .. will Cameron and the remains demand a re count or even another referendum if its within a small % ???

London (Reuters)

"If they decide to leave, EU rules state that Britain will have two years to hammer out the terms of its new relationship with the EU on issues such as trade and the status of foreign residents.
If by mid-2018, Britain has not agreed, its membership will simply end unless all the other EU states agree an extension.
"We have to negotiate our entry to the single market, we have to negotiate our future relationship with the EU and then we have to negotiate our trade treaties with all other countries. So there's a lot to be done," Gus O'Donnell, cabinet secretary between 2005 and 2011, told BBC radio."

Two years is a long time.....maybe time for another referendum,Boris ? ;)

Britons and the financial markets have been subjected to a lot of fear propaganda. The sky won't fall on the UK. It would now be incredibly irresponsible for the elites to keep the fear talk up. They'll need to about turn and be positive. Wallys.

Well, the turkeys voted for Xmas.

The pound falls by 9.8%;
Scotland is calling for a new referendum on the UK;
Irish republicans say this invalidates the Good friday agreement and also want a referendum on UK membership.

Goodbye Great Britain;

Hello Little England.

Cameron's use of the offer of a Referendum to win the last election has backfired even more spectacularly than I predicted.

He lost the gamble on the vote & now looks like overseeing the actual breakup of Great Britain.

The result has handed Scotland Nationalists just the 'escape clause' they were looking for to carry out yet another 'leave UK' campaign - but with the intriguing prospect of a separated Scotland staying in the EU.
The situation in Northern Ireland is even stranger & Cameron could have actually created a situation where a united Ireland is a realistic proposition.

He should look back & consider whether the few years in power were actually worth it....

I just tried to send some money to Thailand. I send it through a foreign exchange trading company since a NZ bank gauges too much.

The foreign exchange company's website is down so I phoned them and was put through to their office in London. The pommie dealer said it's chaos. They're 10 times busier than normal. I had to put an order in over the phone. I've never had to do it that way before. Still, I don't think the sky is falling. The NZ $ - baht rate was quite good.

Happy Independence Day to the British people!!! Don't listen to all the bull about the Pound and the Stock Markets. The Pound and Markets are based on the Companies and wealth of the British Nation. This temporary set back is the punishment leveled on the British people for it's decision to Exit the EU. Last week George Soros predicted that the Pound would devalue by 13% on an Exit outcome. Geee, do you think George had anything to do with the current value of the pound? He has done it in the past to other Nations.

The Historical event Brexit, by a courageous people, is more than leaving the EU. IMO it is a world wide disdain for career politicians. Look what has happened in the Philippines...the emergence of Trump. With the world wide Internet, the Media Moguls can no longer control/influence our thinking by bias trash.We make up our own minds by diligent research.

Brace yourselves for more temporary pain, I hate to see it but the EU will try to make an example out of Britain to discourage other Nations from leaving. Now 4 other Nations want a vote for out. Congratulations to the Great Britain a Nation of people with Balls.

Back in September my cousin (who works for one of the big banks in the city) advised me that they were predicting a drop of 20% following Brexit. I moved most of my cash out of Sterling back then at ฿55.
Sterling will drop lower over the coming weeks. UK runs a large current account deficit so there is nothing to underpin Sterling apart from raising interest rates.
I think this will be an economic catastrophe for the UK. A lot of financial services will move out of London.
People are going to be very disappointed - immigration will stay high for the next few years at least, inflation will pick up and foreign investment will drop back.
