Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
Oh come on now Tam, when were we ever best mates.
I am truly glad that others do manage to have enough brainpower to see the Guardian for what it is. A rag that has failed to move with the times, still thinks Marxism works and would put Steptoe and Abbott on a pedestal (if they could find enough support steel for Abbot's).
I had quite a massive chuckle to myself when our anti Brit from a little rock way down south posted this.
I see the trash media in the UK as a major UK weakness. It's significantly responsible for a catastrophically mismanaged Brexit and poorly functioning political system. Yeah, yeah, I know many Brits are still in denial on the catastrophe but reality is starting to bite. I don't see The Guardian as trash. A bit leftie, but not trash.
He has still not identified the non Covid catastrophe that is currently engulfing the UK that apparently no one else is aware off, but that's pretty standard from the avid Guardian reader and font of all knowledge who hides behind a false ID on UM.

I enjoy a good chuckle myself.
United Kingdom is approximately 243,610 sq km, while New Zealand is approximately 268,838 sq km, making New Zealand 10% larger than United Kingdom.

Statto, you would be better off having an early night than trying to be funny. Stick to biased politics.

Oi, Statts is funny, his gags are as good as Alan's. Admittedly, not everyone's cup of tea but his sense of humour is very much in evidence.

Ha ha, very good.
Yes, Statts is witty and I agree that his gags are up there with Alan's. I like his chilled approach to life.
I'm not anti-Brit and I'm not anti-US. I am anti-Johnson and anti-Trump.

Not anti-Guardian and unlike Everton at the moment, not anti-bloody football either.
A subtle nuance that escapes certain members.

Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
I saw Patel on Sky News in Poland three days ago claiming the fast-track system to enable Ukrainians coming to join family in the UK was live and "online now".
She was lying.
On Monday, she stated in parliament that the "pop-up" visa center for Ukrainians was open in Calais.
She was lying again.
One thing you've got to admire the Tories for is they are consistent.

Although I agree the tardiness by the UK is plain, I suspect it is the Jobsworth civil servants that are to blame NOT the Politicians .
W£e have all had our experiences at these Jobsworth chaps and chapesses, frankly they are a disgrace. Sending them to do the Visa applications in Kyiv would be an act of kindness,,,,,lol

Didn't Patel get 'exonerated' for bullying these jobsworths a couple of years ago? Maybe they are getting their own back.Khun Paul wrote: ↑March 9, 2022, 7:05 amtamada wrote: ↑March 8, 2022, 10:09 pmI saw Patel on Sky News in Poland three days ago claiming the fast-track system to enable Ukrainians coming to join family in the UK was live and "online now".
