New Extension after 1 October
New Extension after 1 October
This appeared on Thai Immigration's FB page yesterday, no word of anything official on their website, Thai media, Royal Gazette or the Accrington Observer.
Placing this in the Covid forum since these extensions are Covid-related and may get buried or misinterpreted in the regular Immigration forum.

Gee I posted this photo a week ago and you answered it immediately with one of your own style answers. Your losing your touch old mate.
I got the info and photo from the Aussie embassy site.

I guess this is the upshot of trying to get a post no matter how inconsequential on every active thread. Never mind eh Tam
Age & treachery will always triumph over youth & ability

^ No harm done Nig. Before you shat on this thread, I was rather hoping Barney could post a link to his post and my glib and facile comment since it never came up in my searches.
However, since you're obviously hanging on my every word these days and rumored to consider yourself a bit of a local forum deity, albeit probably a grand conceit, maybe you can assist here?
No?

^ That's fine. No need for you to say any more here.

New Extension after 1 October
If you think my advice that it was from the Australian Ambassador may have been untrue, then if you have Facebook the go to
“Australia In Thailand” page and look at the ambassador video on 22nd.
It’s all explained. He does a video most days.
Other than that sorry can’t help.

I haven't suggested anyone was lying. I found your post BTW and my ensuing "own style" comment about keeping the stranded tourists they have. Thanks but I don't do FB, just copy the links when applicable.Barney wrote: ↑October 27, 2020, 8:30 pmIf you think my advice that it was from the Australian Ambassador may have been untrue, then if you have Facebook the go to

The reason I picked up on it again is that according to ubonjoe on ThaiVisa, those who are married here and may have got a one-time 60-day Thai spouse extension just before the original amnesty DIDN'T end last month can apply for this new "up to 60-day" Covid extension as well.
As usual, different TV members have reported being told different eligibility, different application dates and different costs by different immigration offices.
Just in case any UM members are in the same boat, better go check this week.

Absolutely, saw this on my email updates from Thai Immigration, no reason at all not to believe it.
