I am suggesting that it might be wise to supply this number when uploading doc details as it is proof of residency in Thailand as they require said proof.
It might may things simpler.
And no I did not called up from the expatvac site as I have not registered on the site.
Prefer to wait for a more legit vaccine.

When I registered, I had difficulty attaching both documents ie passport details + visa page. I am not sure which one ended up going, but the visa page has all the main details of the passport.

My first reaction is that there is a scam afoot, although I will await further judgement to see if others where registered are receiving the same.

In the meantime, I will try to register again with my alternate email address, and hopefully the site will allow me to attach both documents.
I had the same problem as you Jack, I was not sure if I had attached both documents but because it said the registration had been successful I assumed everything was Ok.I haven't received an email like yourself as yet but if I do I'm not playing anymore.

thanks DM.. I'd seen the link to KK Hospital on the US Embassy COVID info page as well as Intervac but figured it would be only for people in KK. I submitted my registration. We'll see how long it takes to get an acknowledgement.

DM
Overnight received an automated reply and confirmation of successful registration for Pfizer vaccine via the link / route above , the email read exactly as the expatvac reply word for word leading me to believe there are numerous routes for registration all linked to the expatvac site in turn im guessing many expats have registered multiple times which may make the numbers a tad confusing for the administers on the ground scheduling appointments.

The alternative link / site was a tad less confusing and easier to complete than the previous , no passport/visa images required.

Its all a bit TIT ..but lets suck it and see as my old grandad used to say.

Email received

Your registration for the FIRST dose of COVID-19 vaccination is successful.
Once available appointment slot is sent to your email, please confirm within 24 hours.

Failure to confirm within 24 hours will result in the cancellation of your preregistration.

For those residing in provinces other than Bangkok and neighbouring provinces (Nakorn Pathom, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan and Samut Sakhon), the Ministry of Public Health will assign a vaccination site in your area. Your vaccination allocation will be provided according to priorities set by the Ministry of Public Health, i.e. age group, vulnerability, high risk zone e.t.c

Can't have too many irons in the fire (excuse the pun), so registered with Khon Kaen as well.

IMO there’s going to be a problem with registering through numerous channels which will slow down the roll out to all expats.

They’re never going to be able to reconcile it so it is just going to cause problems with appointment availability. I suspect when the appointments start getting dished out no one will go to the trouble of saying they’ve already had the jab leaving hundreds of missed slots & genuinely needing expats will just have to keep waiting it out. (Not that this will bother most people)

Anyone heard of other countries where a self registration fiasco was required? Surely a walk in, present your docs & have the jab if you fit the prepublished criteria would have been best

Not sure multiple registrations will be a big problem.

There is a clear warning (in red) in the confirmation email(s) that you have 24 hours to confirm after appointment notification. If no confirmation, you are automatically cancelled.

Hopefully this will mean that people are smart enough to ignore a second confirmation email if they have already received, and ticked, a first.

Of course, this is placing a necessary degree of confidence in the relevant IT system(s).

Personally I think people are more likely to accept all the appointments for fear of there being another cock up, either IT or at the vaccination centre, before they actually get the jab

"Surely a walk in, present your docs & have the jab if you fit the prepublished criteria would have been best"

That is assuming you want thousands of people crammed into a small area spreading the virus 14 days before their jab has any chance to offer any protection ............

Well following registration as required and receipt of acceptance email , heard nothing at all, a situation where one assumes no news is good news, but one has to wonder . It is eerily silent from the system regarding any DATES.

For the deadliest pandemic the world has ever witnessed, I'm not recognizing a sense of urgency in getting us vaccinated ... at all.

kinda strange they've got the ExpatVac and the InterVac sites. The Intervac one was a complete fustercluck a week ago but now is all updated and neat to include the link to the KK Bangkok Hospital providing vaccinations for KK and "nearby provinces". It makes you wonder if the ExpatVac was just something to make the western embassies happy.. I haven't seen anything in the news about ExpatVac actually working yet nor any of the complaints of rejected registrations..
