Jack. As much as I would like to see the lying POS go down I don't think he'll lose his seat. But it is looking increasingly unlikely that he will be PM after the election. If the coalition were able to form an unlikely minority government it would be with another less divisive leader. Off course two weeks to go so nothing is set in stone.

Coalition strongly held seats are pretty much impregnable, Cook will probably see a swing against Scotty, but will remain a Liberal stronghold. 'The Shire' is a unique part of Sydney, full of smug conservatives who have about as much potential to swing, as Ayers Rock will to blow over in a wind.

My Guess, Scotty will try to maintain leadership even if there is a big loss to Labor, whereas most leaders who lose, do quietly resign. If Frydenburg loses his seat (a possibility, but unlikely). Who will lead the libs? Dutton?

That will be hilarious.

Albo has decided to take on Morrison at his own game, and not appear as a shrinking violet. All power to him to take on Morrison with a bit of returned aggression, Australians respect a guy that stands up for himself.

Today's polls see the strategy working, maybe wishful thinking on my part. Labor with a majority of around 5 to 10 seats and some damned smart women dressed in Teal, keeping financial management under a sensible conservative set of policies.

No, he hasn't "promised" anything. It is not within his power to award such a pay rise, but he has said he would support one before the Fair Work Commission, which does have the power.

And I am as shocked as you that the leader of the Australian Labor Party would, going into an election, take a pay rise for low paid workers as one of their policies .

There are around 17 million people eligible to vote, you think that are all 'alternative' types? Nope, mainstream. Australia is overwhelmingly supporting a labor agenda of combating climate change, growing real wages, reducing cost of living and having an independent Federal ICAC.

Demonising those who do not share your political view might appeal to you, but it does not reflect the true views of Australians in general. Maybe you could consider respecting those whose views you may disagree with, but are nonetheless Australian citizens in a free democracy.
