Closed up with a sign on the gate''for sale''!It has been slowly dying!Paul was the last of the money spenders ,trying to fix it up and running promtions etc.,but it is just a money trap now as location is odd to newcomers and the old customers passed on!

It got popular 15 years ago when all the Aussies building the Friendship bridge used it as their ''meeting Place''.Now it just sits there waiting for the next dreamer that ''knows'' he can make it go :( :( :(

There was such a turnover of people that I lost track as I was not a regular customer for the last 3-4 years!I would go by there 1-2 times a day with very little going on.I did see some nice looking young gals 2-3 times and thought to myself that maybe there was some ''different action'' going on besides the ''normal'' business, but I never checked it out.

One time ,I stopped in and there was a ladyboy with 5-6 fairly good looking girls hanging out and looking eager!I thought it might not be prudent to stick around as I am a dedicated married man and the local gals like to gossip about who they saw where! When I first moved here ,I was riding my bicycle up and down all the sois to learn the town!Sure enough,a GF of a falang told my wife she had seen me on the ''short time soi''!I am still not sure where it was exactly

The way the place is situated,it looks like a perfect place for ''a''house, but you would have to have a good partnership with the BiB to stay open and NK is not an ''in your face''community!Don't think that neighborhood would allow it for very long!

I think Sparky is still in the UK. Not sure of the future for the place. I had a few good breakfasts there after visiting Immigration.

Shame to see the Meeting Place is still closed, I had some great times there when it was open and it always appeared to be quite busy, even the food there was good.
It had just closed when I was there in April and was hopping it would be open when I got back in September.
I always found it was a nice cool place to go for a drink in the shade of the trees.
Place could be a goldmine with the right person running it.
I did find a couple of girls who worked there are now working in Nongs bar.

Sparky is a yank, and I and those other 2 that follow me around a bit, only ate there once, that was enough. farang owner was gracious and aplologetic, but stopped there for thanksgiving dinner, and that staffing problem, item to be served all day, and we were there early, and half items not available. used the day before and nobody thought to restock for the day's special. did throw together a plate of decent food, but with that type of help, you can only do so much. a valient effort, ](*,) ](*,)

up for rent, and cheap at that. :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan: :fryingpan:
