I notice that all your posts are related to Nobis of NK resturant! Is that your only interest in the forum?Because it makes me think you are either a close friend of the proprieter or have another interest in the business!Alfronso wrote:Was at Nobi's Nong Khai yesterday and had a great 50 Baht Lunch. If you were a regular contributor,I would probably show some interest, but with this as your single topic,I am not impressed! There are many falang oriented resturant/bars in NK and I don't know many that are paying their own way as far as the food business is concerned. With the small amount of customers I see in them on a daily basis,I would have some serious concern as to the freshness of the product!

Went to Nong Khai the other day as freind popped over from England, looked for something to eat, saw Nonbi's but we all decided that the Vietnamese restaurant was a better, looked cleaner and was in fact more welcoming.
there six of us and we had change from 700 baht, which also included drinks. NOW that is not too bad.

yes i must admit the veitnamise restaurant is very good and prices are really reasonable, you just have to sit and watch the amount of customers leaving with carry outs, that only proves how good the place really is.Khun Paul wrote:Went to Nong Khai the other day as freind popped over from England, looked for something to eat, saw Nonbi's but we all decided that the Vietnamese restaurant was a better, looked cleaner and was in fact more welcoming.

I also find that the food in dee dees is also very good and excellent value for money.

I will confirm Alfonso’s statement regard to the good food at Nobie’s Nong Khai. I have heard this is now referred to as Dave’s Bar I stopped there on Sunday which is the day they do the roast pork, quality and quantity was better than I have had at any the other places in Nong Khai. Passed by again o Monday evening and again I counted at least 18 people sitting eating.
Looks as if they have taken a lot of trade from other bars because I made a point of cycling round the town and the majority of bars only had a couple of customers.
Good Luck to them both.

I have not tried the food yet,but the wife and I stopped in Daves the other day and had a little livation.Nice personable fellow ,and his lady speaks pretty fair English and is very hospitable!
I noticed that that had Australian beef steaks advertised on a board inside. We were 2 0f 6 customers at the time in a very relaxing atsmosphere!
They have a 40 ii flat TV screen on the wall the 2 customers were watching, while ourselves and another couple sat out on the front patio! What I really liked was the volumne on the TV was loud enough for those inside to watch, but not loud enough to disturb the patio! =D>
