Star Viewing

This probably won't rank high up on many people's list of things to do......but if you've never seen a sky full of stars before......Udon's surrounding areas offer plenty of opportunity get an eyeful.
We live about 18km outside of the city....and in a slight dip between hill crests....so the already dimmed lights of the city are further dimmed. On cool clear nights like we've been having the past few days, the sky if full of stars.....Cephius, Persius, Gemini, Pisces, the foggy lights of the Milky Way. If you're lucky, you'll catch a meteor or two.

I'm not sure of other surrounding areas....BangDung, NongHan, for example.....but I'd guess the star viewing is just as good there as it is here.

If you're wondering what stars you're looking at......there's http://www.heavens-above.com/skychart.aspx......and a multitude of smart phone apps.

Pleasant viewing.

Oh you wicked man old-timer. Presumably out frolicking with girls half your age when you could be at home enjoying the night sky.
