Originally, I was enquiring about buying a OIL Drum. for smoking food.
Seems interesting subject so post it here.
Ding Dong QUOTE....Have also been wanting to do some smoking, but what are you using for a supply of smoking wood chips? Would appreciate some help
I have been using breeze blocks (See Picture) But its falling apart.
I think an oil drum do the job a treat.
I dont use any special wood. All this about "Apple wood " chips ect, dont make a difference.
Cant get "Cips" out here seems, I use old wood . Just get it started, then when plames die out,
Put in your produce, and closed the top Drop small peices of new wood now and then.
Make sure it dont flame up.
But I now use large tree stumps. Real old wood.
Once it get smouldering, it keeps going for days.(not you need that long)
Picures...... My smoked Mackerel, the old smoker ,and my pork belly curing,a week before smoking

I'm not going to use them, have no idea what I paid for them so a 100 baht and come and get what you want would be fine.

I think they are 50 Gallon drums

No rust that I remember. I'm meeting with someone who wants one Wednesday of next week after 3:00 P.M.

Send me a P.M. and I will give you my phone number

Someone might as well get some use out of them.
