halfway between ut & sn is nong ha.
i was seeing a drop dead gorgeous milf that lived opposite the school there.
im sure her son was pointing us out to his mates when we were making out on the couch in the room facing the school with all the doors open.
anyway, i digress, theres some kind of world heritage thing near there, may be worth a look.

After about the first ten to fifteen minutes inside, the rest is repetitive - I took my parents ther two years ago and we all came out thinking the same.

Are you talking about Ban Chiang archeological site that is in Udon Thani Province? I'm not familiar with a World Heritage site in Sakon Nakorn. I'd be interested to know more about the World Heritage site there if there is one.

That is the one I went to Shado - dissapointing.

We've been there several times, often to take visitors. I found the exhibit to quite interesting and informative. The history of the area and ancient artifacts tell an intriguing story of the area's human progression dating back 5,000 years or more. I've spent quite a bit of time reading the information posted in the various sections of the museum and have learned a great deal about the prehistoric human habitation near where my wife was born and raised.

Bangchak Phuphan Resort on the Kalasin road about 5 kilometres from Sakon Nakhon.
Coming from Udon,no need to go into the centre of Sakon Nakhon.....just take the ring road signposted Kalasin and the resort is situated on route 213.
Wooden bungalows with aircon, tea and coffee making facilities, restaurant etc.....adjoining a gas station but dont let that put you off.
Just 30 minutes drive from Phu Phan National Park which is worth a look......Kings Palace, waterfall,Nam Phung dam just 3km from the town of Phu Phan which is a scenic area with restaurant etc.

Exactly Statto - its a long time since we were good. Pity we don't have the team to match the stadium.stattointhailand wrote:Doesn't "Heritage" refer to something that was good a long time ago Socksy ?

i have lived in Sakon nakhon now for 4 years in the city
having lived in pattaya for 10+ years before that i wish i had moved to Esarn, Sakon nakhon back then.
its quiet but thats what i like about it, it has this special country thai feel to it..plenty places to go for drinks, lots of good places to eat, Thai french Beef is from there, new Robinsons Mall, its changing fast and getting big,
No beer bars with girls, and No Pub as such...

Sakon Nakhon
hi all,
I'm back after a few years inactivity.
I plan a short visit to sakon nakhon in july with a new gf, she's from sakon nakhon, i met her on my last holiday to thailand. I feel good with her.
Now that i experienced my 1st relationship with a thai woman, i feel strengthened by my experience in this newer relationship. Since I know a bit of the tricks used.
I didn't find any car rental companies with cars available for my planned visit. So I might rent from Lek's in udon thani and drive to Sakon Nakhon, guess a 2 hour drive? Since i'm very satisfied with lek's from my last rental in 2012.
