Hakparn's advance warning of visits and suggestion of looking for malfeasance is just more of the same. Playing the game of making sure everyone involved has enough time to pay up the food chain, cover their tracks, burn the books, etc., and agree on the culprits/scapegoats WITH the culprits/scapegoats. That's how the police works here. They carve out their little fiefdom but always make sure their immediate superior gets their cut to maintain the blind eye turned. The amounts simply grow bigger as they trickle up the food chain. As long as the police are allowed to do their own internal investigations, and choose who gets thrown under the bus, nothing will change.

might as well add my two bahts worth..
went for my first time renewal of V.,, sorry Extension of Retirement Visa..yesterday
went in first to see what I needed..
' Oh you missed a month of update in your bank book, and had been away on Re entry Permit, so missed those months, so will need one year on bank statements, and bank letter, and book update '..yeah but you can see nothing withdraw from bank book..doesnt matter..'
several days later the bank came up with the statements and letter, and as I had my book updated two days ago, gave that part a miss, only for it to bite me in the arse...' Oh your book not updated, yes two days ago, but have to be today, why, because we need the same date as you apply for extension..Oh...can go over the road to bank and come back...
nice bank..finally back to imm and things were done and I walked out the door after 2000bt lighter, only to be called back to do 90 day checkin..wasnt sure why until the guy that has been pumping weights showed me a date to check in for my next 90 days..
.if you do it right she goes smoothly, miss one little part and you can be chasing you arse all day.....I find them a friendly helpful lot who stick by the book
