Dear Golden Gate:

Foreigners are prohibited from owning land in Thailand.

There are some alternatives including obtaining a long-term lease agreement, a life estate (called a usufruct here), investing 40 million Baht, or owning it under a Thai limited company. Which alternative is best for you depends upon how you intend to use the land and what your objectives are. For most people, a lease agreement or life estate is a good option.

Do you speak some thai? There is a lawyers office on Prajack Rd. pass the intersection of Robinson then turn where A.I.A. is. You will see the office accross from Boy Boy Bar or behide Silver Reef B&B. Good Luck.

FBI real estate company (link on this website) will probrably be able to sort you out. Tell the owner (in English) what you want and he will know a 'man who can' !
