Music Player on Mobile Not Working
Music Player on Mobile Not Working
The music player on my Samsung phone (4 years old) stopped working. Message given: Google music player no longer supported, use Youtube. I went to the Samung Service Center, Samsung Central and AIS Central but they could not help. Installed VLC player, but it is not as user friendly as the old player. I have now resorted to using my old iPhone as a music player. Any suggestions?

I use Rocket Player on my Samsung. I settled on it after experimenting with several other similar apps.
It has small ads, which can be removed with the premium version:

The same developer (JRT Studio) has a less complex app if you prefer:

I use an app simply called "Music Player - version 2.3.2" on my 3 yo Samsung available from Google Play Store. Still working fine.

As an addendum to my post above, the reason on settled on Rocket Player is that it allows you to search by composer - the only app I tried that did so.
As probably 90% of the music I have stored is classical, this is an essential feature.

Play Store has many choices. Go through them until you find one that suits you.

Rocket player is easy the best of the lot. I use it as it lets me play music with the screen off and lets you play videos and can play files composers songs etc . been using it for years .
Be careful when you buy any cheap android in thailand as a lot of them are old android version and as android 4 are no longer supported .I looked in bigc and tresco once at the phones and i have a number that tells you when the phone was made and some of them were up to 3 years old making the battery and android version out of date

Sorry for the late reply Gus but if you're trying to use the Google Play Music app here's your answer. The app is discontinued and replaced by YouTube Music. I get the same warning on my year old Samsung.mak wrote: ↑October 31, 2020, 11:07 amThe music player on my Samsung phone (4 years old) stopped working.
