International calls from Thailand

Post by Ray.Charles » November 20, 2009, 11:50 am

Cost to call the U.S. with my CAT prepaid telephone card is a very reasonable B1 per minute (plus 7% tax).
But calling a mobile in the U.K. is 6B per minute. Is there a less expensive alternative for the U.K.?

Phoning FROM UK to Thailand use a voip - there are plenty of them if you Google. Just have to pick best for your circumstance : mobile 2 mobile, mobile to LL, LL 2 mobile, ll 2 ll. From 1 pence a minute.
You dial a 0844 number (usually) then the number you want., when asked.
Cheapest way any where to any where is Skype - free if both have on the pc.

Take a look at Voipbuster: http://www.voipbuster.com

Rates: http://www.voipbuster.com/en/calling-rates.html

A recent 60 minute phone call to us US mobile phone (phone-to-phone) with voipbuster costed me € 0,79 (about 40 baht).

Check prices for telephone calling cards you can order via the Internet and receive within 5 minutes or ordering. I liked the choices so much, I became a reseller: http://www.legendarysurfers.com/cco/ [-o<

Skype is good, but Gizmo5 is a bit cheaper to some countries. These accounts can automatically charge your credit card or paypal when you go below a predetermined level, so you never need to worry about topping it up. Convenient.

Here is a good one. I´ve been using it for years:

http://www.voipstunt.com/en/index.html

As long as you have some money in your account you will get free calls to US (landline & mobile)& UK (landline). Check out their pricelist.

You guys should really check these prices. Cheaper than Skype and you can use with a cellphone or landline.

I am using voipbusterpro for many years.
Great rates (a call to landline in France cost me only 2 THB... I pay only the connexion fees=.), good quality.
