40 posts on this subject and we still dont have many details.

"Hit by 2 Brits outside Mr Tongs"

If that is all the info. we can get after 40 posts - is it worthwhile continuing this post ? instead of discussing who Mr Tong fancies and who he doesn't?

have to agree, on to mr tong's fancies, hopefully not me. think i'll wear shoes and not talk loud if at mr. tongs.

all we learned was someone drunk got his butt kick, don't know who why maybe not sure where. while he is in the hospital, he may consider the detox wing.

Yes the info doesn't identify any culprit.....but in my experience Tong's late at night can be a dangerous place. Last December I was intimidated by Brits with the spider web tatoos and singlets who were just itching to punch some one.

On future visits to Udon I will certainly steer clear.

Briefly - I have spoken to the bloke that hit Tim at Tongs. Both he and Tim tell the same story - and Tim basically provoked the situation.

As for the alleged bashing at his house - lets just say that it is only alleged and not necessarily supported by any evidence.

Tim was released from hospital yesterday. No lasting damages.

Actually - my personal opinion is that there is no real need to continue the thread. The whole thing should just be another small, inconsequential tidbit of history in Udon Thani.

Ok so 'Tim' got mouthy at the pub and someone smacked him one.
Hardly constitutes farang bashing does it - just another disagreement after a few beers perhaps.
As we have now heard that the 'victim' is now recouperated - lets close this bit of (no) news huh?

From the horses mouth Tim
Mr KFC to those who meet him really does not know what happened, but he was enjoying the chat at the Down under bar last night, just another day in his life

That almost sounds like you want to get a possee of vigilanties together

Being a Brit 8) does that make me a target when I come back next week :?:

Young Brits abroad have a bad enough reputation without giving them fuel to come for a "Scrap" in Udon with some ex-pats....I might have missinterpreted what you are saying but I think that as the whole incident seems to have blown over and fizzled out.... it might be best to leave it that way :|
