I never understood this line of thought. We all have a past. Some of us more than others. Is there a magic number of former partners above which you deem her past behavior unacceptable? And what does money have to do with it? You go out with a girl at home, you think you're not paying? It's just not an explicit transaction, that's all.

Nah, it's not the number of men she's been with. For me, it's 1) Is she disease-free, and 2) her mental/emotional state. If she's a typical bargirl, she has the mindset of one, and that's the problem for me, regardless of how many men she's been with.

kenadams, do what is best for you, if you listen to all the negative misery guts on this forum you will be destined to a horrible life, there are plenty who have married girls who worked in bars and have solid relationships. There was one comment by a no hoper saying would you marry a prostitute from Australia, the obvious difference is a pro from Aust is most likely supporting a self inflicted heroin habit where a Thai girl will be supporting her family, they are not the same but best for you to sort your own head out, remember most of the posters on this forum are old and spend very little time in Thailand yet are absolute experts, if you are 31 and she is 30 only you know if you clicked.

Further to coxo's "advice", I would suggest you be very careful about listening to broad generalisations, which may or may not have any basis in fact. =D>

There are many "experts" living here , some happy - some not , some wiser than others whose to give advice as many have differing views ... for sure choosing a life here in Thailand is a big decision ,, there will be ups and downs ,, life is a roller coaster ... just get on and enjoy the ride ..

I have more respect for a prostitute than I have for a slut. I was married to a farang slut. At least a prostitute earns money and doesn't give it away to your (former) friends.

Years ago I had a girlfriend who was a bar girl. She stayed with me whenever she didn't have a customer. Back then I was a poor guy and if I could have afforded to get married, I would have married her. She ended up marrying a guy who was a former customer.

Mods, pros---tition is the oldest profession in the world, is not a swear word so WHY is it being blacked out when used. Being an adult I don't understand the reason for this, I understand if I was to call someone a fu--ing c--t or similar, a bit bewildered!

And it (along with a number of other innocuous words) just happens to be one of the words that family friendly Google does not like.

Fact of life...
If Google don't like, it goes... :D

I do not suggest that you bother to write to Google & say it is petty of them. That will be a complete waste of time..
