So can somebody tell me, if the Thai people, in particular Thai woman, Are so simple, stupid, liars, cheats, extortionist ect, ect, ect, why are there so many expats living in Thailand, and, I don't know, but I would guess that about 90% are either married or in long term relationships with Thai woman, is this hypocritical or what!

Why is it that the people that are knocking the Thai people, are
living here, are they gluttons for punishment, or just plain and SIMPLE! longterm sex tourists?

Please do not tar all Thai people with the same brush!, There are good and bad people in every country! :-k

Probably just longterm sex tourists who rotate 30 day visas with tourist visas to stay here in LOS. And I thought changing the rules on the 30 day visas would get rid of the crap but it has just diverted them onto tourist visas and therefore more crap in Udon while they renew their visas at Laos border.

you must know the answer to that surely. most gents are elderly and back home would be stuck with a menopausal old bird or nothing female at all ,their limited means in some cases allows them to live with a young gal. and good luck to them too, just so long as they can tolerate a young gal who may be as daft as a brush . keeps em young !

keeping Beavers as pets is not a good idea as they will chomp through your bush and trees and block up your stream if you are lucky enough to have one,and they will grow to a hefty weight too,and are not much fun .

Hey izzix, can you tell me why you live in Thailand? If Thai women are so "daft ", what is the attraction for you to live in LOS?

Just curious...

To this day I do not infact find Thai women all that different once you are in a long term realtionship with one.

I would agree that once they find thier comfort zone they do in fact change a bit, some for the good, others not.

Stupid ya thier as stupid as they want you to think they are. Would I trust my wifes capabilities in the states not without teaching her how things work. Here if I need something accomplished it normally comes from her area of experience and I'm the one learning.

One thing in our case that I believe really puts a strain on the relationship is we are together all the time. There is no work break as you would have in the work worlds we came from.

Does she sometime treat me a like a child which is something I don't like, YES. But, everything ends up being translated through her so I can see how it might look like we don't have a clue. Good reason to learn Thai and give her a break once in a while.

My wife is my best friend, but in any real friendship I have ever had there are times where the two people don't agree, or things get confused. Even good friendships require perimiters to be honored. I don't see that realtionships are that much different. As an example my wifes tone of voice I find offensive sometimes. I don't think she really means that much when she speak in that manner. But it makes me tense with just the sound. If I call her on it she will settle down a bit. But if don't it will just continue.

Sometimes she likes to complain constantly why? she is bored. I have to sit her down from time to time and remind her she is Budhist. supposed to be accepting life as it comes. Then we go over a few things and in the end I ask where the problems are. Sometimes I don't have the patience and have to get out of dodge for a bit and let things settle down.

Well one thing for sure my wife is just a perfect as I am.

If yuou hook up with that little cuttie at the disco, you know the disco queen what do you expect you wanted a disco queen you got one. Is that really that much different when in your younger days when you hooked up with the disco queen in your home country. No sorry it doesn't matter if partying is all is on the mind then no they are not mature Thai or otherwise. Sometimes I think we have these wonderful dreams that are impossible to acccomplish. We want this cute little godess and want her to have the same depth of knowledge and maturity we do. Sorry doesn't work that way.

Do women change when they become mothers of course they as you should as well being a father. If her behavior becomes really radical she may very well have a medical problem. It happens and is worth a good check up to find out, many women get severly depressed after child birth.

If it is she doesn't have the time for you like she did, well guess what she doesn't have that time she had before, simple as that. Children require nuturing, that takes time and creates a brand new burden for the lady she has not had before. May take sometime for adjusting for both of you.

My suggestion take a look at yuorself if your perfect as a father, the the wife might have some catching up to do. If not maybe a little help would with the baby would give you and her a bit more of what you had before.

Children are a big deal in life and require a lot of effort. Having raised two families already not one that I would want to do agian. They bring great joy to they also bring other things that are not so much fun.

Anyway I wish you luck I'm sure things will work out for you. My guess is your just venting, better to do it here, then in her ear. I do exactly the same thing.

Once you figure this relationship thing out, write a book heck everyone else did

I agree with Ray and Skipvice. By the way Skip my wife did the same.

By the way if you think your wife/girlfriend is stupid, look who is with her. YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are things we can learn form all people. What most don't have in book knowledge, can be made up other ways. Sure my wife is ignorant of some things, so am I.

I have learned so many things from my wife over the years, I can not count them. She is also a quick learner. She has a regular public education from public school in Thailand (very little) and went to work for a heart pacemaker company here in the US. She advanced to a Tech Aide for the engineering department by the time she left. This comapny had over 1000 employees and I am proud to say she was the only Tech Aide in the company. Very good for a "Stupid" person.

I think some of you guys need to reevaluate why you might be in Thailand. Either that or get a life that suits your mentality.

Wikipedia
Chav, Charv/Charver, Denis (male) and Chavette (female) ('ch' pronounced as in chair) are mainly derogatory slang terms in the United Kingdom for a subcultural stereotype fixated on fashions derived from American Hip-hop such as gold jewellery and designer clothing, combined with elements of working class British street fashion. Chavs are generally considered to have no respect for society, and to be ignorant or unintelligent. The term appeared in mainstream dictionaries in 2005.[1][2]

The defining features of the chav clothing is the Burberry pattern (notably a now-discontinued baseball cap) and from a variety of other casual and sportswear brands. Tracksuits, hoodies, track suit bottoms, and baseball caps are particularly associated with this stereotype. Response to the term has ranged from amusement to criticism that it is a new manifestation of classism.[3] The term has also been associated with delinquency, the "ASBO Generation", "Hoodie culture", and "yob culture".

In the northwest of England (Chester, Ellesmere Port, Liverpool, etc), chavs are known as 'scallies' (from 'scallywag'). In the North East of England (particularly in Newcastle), the word chav is rarely used, with people referring instead to 'charvas'. This is a loose synonym for chav although there are some regional differences; for example, the wearing of Adidas branded clothing and football shirts or short greasy spiked hair are commonly known as the defining characteristics of a charva.

8) In Holland we call that kind of people: "a Johnny and an Anita".

But I also don't know what a "JuJu" is.

I believe that Stan was alluding to the fact that not all females you meet in Thailand started life with that gender - but many have not actually completed their transformation. :D

If I thought my husband was posting his opinion of me as "stupid," I'd serve his b*llocks back to him on a silver platter!

A sweeping, rude, disrespectful, and ungrateful comment...tsk, tsk.
