Danger Signs

Sorry oldfield, it's much more than a danger sign. It's more an indication of a terminal illness. I know a number of ladies and they are more addicted to gambling than any alcoholic or doper is to alcohol or drugs. They have been addicted for years and in spite of all the promises and tears, they just CAN'T stop. I would have never believed an addiction could be so strong until I witnessed it first hand.

My ex Thai wife told me that if she had a baby she would be able to stop gambling. Babies were out of the question for me. I raised one family and that was enough. To finish her story, she married a decent Thai guy. He worked for years building a savings account. It was a modest amount of savings compared to most of us but it was all he had. She managed to lose his savings even after she had her first baby. The last I heard she had another baby and was selling lottery tickets. Amazingly enough her Thai husband stuck with her. Her sister is married to a friend of mine and has kept me informed over the years.
