Prajak Rd. Chicken Smoke Corner

Post by jimbeamm36 » March 23, 2015, 10:10 am

About one year ago I enjoyed eating at a family run BBQ chicken place on the west end of Prajak Rd. There, two places sold '' gai yang'' ,BBQ chicken and other foods. The one on the left was a family run unit and the one on the right has now taken over both shops and expanded. My question is, does anyone know if the ''family gai yang'' relocated and back in business? I miss their great food and service.

be more specific than " west prajack" because the west prajack I know dead-ends into
tungsri muang field behind ngee soon supermarket. frame your question better. landmarks
and other physical references, time-span were talking about etc., if you want assistance.

I occasionally eat at "Gai Vista" and have been going there off and on for the past 19yrs. Not sure if that's the official name, but I've always known it as that and I'm told it comes from the old cinema (Vista) located next door.

As to to what happen to the former shop keepers, I doubt you'll get an answer here. You may want to inquire with the folks that operate the new expanded restaurant.

I might recommend https://translate.google.com/

However you have to read a lot into their translations. For example the above translates as:
Grilled Chicken Restaurants where you know

I think it should say: Do you know where there are Grilled Chicken Restaurants

Thai grammar is not the same as English . which is why google translate is usually wrong. the note
in fact reads just as I wrote it. and I know where the gai yang shop is. directly across from the Yamaha
bike shop 50 meters east of the abandoned cinema. I want the OP to show a little initiative. \:D/

http://www.thai2english.com/

the link above is better for a good translation, google always slaughters Thai text into crazy illogical sentences sometimes

i'm saying i've walked down this stretch of road two mornings a week for the last three years . there is always
smoke wafting into the street from 1 or 2 shops that seems to emanate from the middle of block . if you've
been going there for 20 yrs , why don't you have your wife ask the proprietors where their neighbors went
since you can't speak read or write any thai.

Sadly, I just learned the ''family gai yang'' place sold the business and retired. They are gone but not forgotten.
