Another purpose for an external keyboard? Other than using it as an external keyboard? Now you've got me curious. Do tell....

Home made hash browns are officially a hit. And please note, they can be substituted for the sausage patty in our previously advertised "Lite Breakfast" and you have a nice vegetarian early meal, with bottomless cup of coffee... for just 99 baht!

That was an excellent breakfast, even though I had it for lunch. :-) Now I can't say I haven't had good hashbrowns in Thailand. Thanks Bubba and Jun.

I'll definitely 'try' to get by tomorrow, may be going fishing. And yes that is an excellent breakfast, best hash browns I've had in years, do like those jalapeños. As usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I'll pass on the 'to kill ya', unless you've come up with Jose' Quervo Gold. May the drink gods have mercy on us all if some of the high dollar 'blue agave' every shows up in Thailand. Only tequila I've ever had that was "sippin' good", and deadly...lol. 6 bucks a shot down on 6th st. in Austin and that was some years back.

Glad you enjoyed it, Gar. It was because of our conversation that we started making the hash browns and it turns out you weren't the only one looking for them!

SGT, I think the Chinese liquor store had Cuervo Gold once upon a time, but like many things here, it's disappeared for some time now. Don't think we could serve it for 40b a shot though!

Sawitta and I rarely go out to eat, however, went to, Big Bubba's, for the first time today to try Bubba's, prepared by, Jun, Mexican food. With both Big Bubba and myself being, American, figured if lucky, and hoping, we'd have a fair chance of tasting some decent, Mexican.
Well, Jun's, home made prepared Mexican dishes 'were out of this world delicious'.
First ordered her, Awesome Chicken Enchilada. Let me tell ya, it was, 'large', beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and cut with a fork soft, with the tender bites of chicken may have been the best tasting Enchilada filling I've ever had the pleasure to consume in my 73 years.
Even though full enough, couldn't resist trying something else so went for the, Cheesy Chicken Quesadilla. Another delightful experience!
Topped all off with Bubba's, Frozen Strawberry Margarita, really good, and really strong; both Sawitta and I were a bit buzzed out sharing just one.
Please, fellas, don't want to start a forum war with these simple positive comments.
However, if you love Mexican, Bubba and Jun's Mexican specials this weekend are something you don't want to miss.

The only forum war that I see going on is maybe a war in Bubba and Jun's restaurant for the Hash brown potato's . Had them the other day with jalapinos, onions and cheese. Really really good. Jun will be very busy hand grating spuds in the future. Thanks for some great food.

Double amens. I got there too late for some of the goodies, but still had too much to eat, as usual, with the giant taco. I'm glad to see real potatoes for a change and those hash browns are good. Thanks to Jun for all the work and Dennis for hanging around...lol.

CINCO de MAYO @ Bubba's Bar & Grill (Sponsor)

Post by BigBubba » May 4, 2014, 10:05 am

continues today!

Yesterday was, in a word, hectic. We were supposed to have help coming in, but TiT, a no show. Jun was pretty frazzled by the end of the day and stayed up until midnight to restock some items for today. Continuing with the theme, we even have an additional feature today. Start your day off, MEXICAN style with...

HUEVOS RANCHEROS!

Thanks to all who came yesterday, for all the well wishes on our anniversary, and all the kind words to Jun. She does appreciate it.

Open 9AM - 9PM

Come join us!

Bubba and Jun

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Which is actually today, but we celebrated all weekend in conjunction with our 2nd anniversary. Thanks to all who came (some on BOTH days ;)). I think a good time was had by all and one of our best weekends ever. We may do a Mexican thing one day a week. We're still talking about that, but regardless, one item will be on our daily menu fron now on, the Carne Asada (thinly sliced beef) Taco, pictured below. Available with flour or CORN tortilla.

This weekend's special will be something truly unique and I'm sure at least a handful of Udonites will be pleasantly surprised. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, don't forget we've got home made APPLE PIE for dessert available every day. Top with a slice of cheddar cheese, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or BOTH. Up to you! ;)

Do they still do luau thing in Hawaii? I saw a dance thing like that once in another century and a world far, far away. Hard to remember, was 21 yrs. old off a troop ship for a couple of days headed for Okinawa/Vietnam. Matter of fact it is hard to remember much of anything about those couple of days....lol.
