Great to hear that Steve has taken over the Irish Clock. He's a very nice guy and an astute businessman. If anyone can make the Irish Clock a sucess it will be him.
One question, though, the previous owners of the Irish Clock also owned the City Lodge,as I understood......who now owns the City Lodge ?
A very Happy New Year to you lucky folks living in Udon.Hopefully,it wont be too long before we are back.
Have a good one !

I'll take your word for it.beer monkey wrote:The Steak and Kidney Pie with mash potatoes veg and Gravy that arrived on the table in a Gravy Boat.
And for my "mate" oldfields information this was a "Gut-Buster".![]()

I may even try it out one of these days. S & K pie with mash and gravy happens to be in my top 3 meals of all time, along with fish and chips and bangers and mash.
Now if they would throw in some peas with that pie......................
I stayed at the City Lodge December 2005 and it had just changed hands and was being managed by the daughter of the owner of the Irish Clock at the time, think her name was Tracey and she has only just emigrated/arrived.
I think it was her brother who was managing the Irish Clock.
I was going to pay a visit to the City Lodge again last month, but it was closed up. A shame as had an excellent stay there and staff, especially the chef from the UK (can't remember his name) were great. Would have been nice to find out how they are all doing.
