been passed twice this week when it should have been open, give up now as its a pain in the arse with the traffic.
But out of curiosity is it open now?
The slight delay in opening was due to medical reasons, the fish and chip shop will be open in the evenings ....

My remarks were not directed at that establishment but at barstool's post on this thread.
He seemed to be the only person that had any difficulty in distinguishing between the place being discussed - The fish & Chip shop being opened by the well known ex-proprietor of the Irish Clock - and any other establishment.
Because of his difficulty his posts were very unhelpful to anyone interested in the topic being discussed.
If I have negative thoughts about any establishment in Udon I usually prefer to keep them to myself as I find few places are immune from some criticism. I often wish that others would show the same degree of latitude... :(
Bob- on Bob, no pun intended =D>

I very much hope the oil used in the new chippie is better than that used in the Irish Clock about 6 months ago ... utterly putrid, the aftertaste lasted right through the evening. Admittedly the Steve cobber wasn't there but another farang managing the place shrugged his shoulders as if to say "I don't give a f***" Haven't been back since.

What's more, I can't see why Steve's Sports Bar has to be attacked by moderators and sychophants; the pom is running a good, cheery bar ... why does he have to be held culpable because the chip shop can't decide on an opening date .. and stick to it.

How long will it be before they put the fish and chip shop up for sale? That's what they have done with every other business they have had.
The new guy in the Clock should have entered a clause in the purchase of his lease, which would prevent the previous management restarting any type of business which might affect the business he has just purchased.
I wouldn't be surprised if the fish and chip shop turns out to be a restaurant/bar.
I reckon there will be trouble ahead regard to this. I know I wouldn’t be a happy chap in this situation.

This could be like the Y2K issue. Massive build up and a complete flop.

The Sports Bar in Sampantammit has assumed the moniker of "Steve's Sports Bar" over the three, hard working years he and Neung have been open, therefore someone turning up and calling a commercial project "Steve's ... whatever" is nothing less than blatant, willful plagiarism .. in it's purest form.

Your logic, if that is what it is, is deeply flawed Barstool as when Steve's Sports Bar opened there had already been a bar on Prajak Road called Steve's Bar that had been open for many years & is still open today.

Yes Pompui, the Fish and Chips in the Irish Clock was superb, a real Cod loin in light crispy batter, not breaded "fish" served with a salad and mushy peas. Excellent value for money, and cooked perfectly.
