Forgive me if I am wrong, maybe one of the volunteer police on the forum will correct me, but isn't the minimum age for entry 21
I wasn't really aware of the law, I thought for pubs/beer gardens it was 18 like in the UK. Oh well, live and learn.
I assume therefore that Paul was the only one to see the show as"extremely eroctic"
Yes I guess it was a little but not over the top, and as I said before nothing dirty or naughty.

And in any case, its perfectly legal in Thailand. The Full Moon is classed as a bar and restaurant, not a nightclub as I understand it. In any case, we all, of course, did exactly what our mothers would approve of at that age, did'nt we?

Of course those that were perfect mother's boys/girls can tell me I am wrong.

Glass Houses etc etc

In the meantime this is a topic about the monthly forum meetings........ information about the next one, reports about the last, or it was.........

Yes of course your correct John, my mother would have had fits if she had heard me descibed as "an angel"
My point, which once again you didn't get, was about responsibility. In this case, two middleaged men and one considerably younger, take a teenaqe schoolgirl off to a night club and you think that is acceptable. I have been a father of 3 girls , all grown now, and I can tell you if any one of them came home with someone of such age, I would have sent him packing.
Back to the forum. The number of attendees is dropping. I will not speak for others.I find it rather less interesting, and certainly lacks the comradie of before, now that we have teenagers in the group. What does someone of such tender age have in common with us old foggies?Even the choice of music is from another planet. When you start to throw in the sexual mix, it gets even worse. Do you think the wives don't talk?My own has been asked, why you let him go?Others have openly said"Mines not going anymore" It doesn't help when the young lady herself declares her interest in certain male members, having discarded one already.
Might I suggest the reporting of the forum meetings concludes at the original destination, then whatever those that are inclined, want to do, is a private matter, where ever and with, whomever. The antics they get up to are purely personal and nothing to do with me as a forum member.
Therin lies the recent resignation, not as you suggest on another forum.

So you are saying that you don't agree with a 30 year old going out with a 19 year old?

Sorry, just going off topic as usual.

Sorry Lee, I had no idea you were. It is none of my business who goes out with whom. I wish you luck.
I was making the point that what happens with individual members after the meeting ends cannot be considered part of the forum meeting and shouldn't be reported as such. You are all individuals and what you get up to is really your decision, neither me or anyone else has the right to comment on it, but if it is reported as part of the antics of the forumites meeting then we do. I have respect for my wife and do not want her to get the impression that I indulge in such antics, as I'm sure many other members don't.I am not a moralist, but I prefer to keep my misdeeds where they belong, in my private closet.By all means publicise what you and others do after dark. In the nightlife forum, I am sure there will be many voyeurs eager to read.

Re low numbers at last meeting:

Unfortunately I was in Hua Hin with three friends from the UK who had come to Thailand for a golfing holiday, otherwise i would have attended.

It should also be noted that, as we are moving into the hotter part of the year, many people that I know leave Thailand for cooler climes at this time.

Going slightly off topic (nothing new there) I have not been on the forum for three weeks or so and am amazed that judging by the posts I have read so far that were made while I have been away the humour bypass operation seems to have been undertaken successfully by a number of folk and the forum sensitivity index has reached an all time high.

Come on guys and gals, what have you all been taking while I've been playing golf?

Can we get back to the good old days of informative posting allied with some humour, wit and good natured banter - PLEASE?

:chat: and  not continual :fryingpan:

You said it Jimbo... informative posting,in the true sense of what this Forum is supposed to be about (Udonthani) seems to have been replaced by "humour", wit and rather bad natured banter. Even on this thread amazingly. This forum will be whatever the forum members want to make it however.....

We are in danger of a thread hijack though...back to Paul...I hope he can continue on topic....

I have an excuse.

I'm stuck here in cold and wet UK. :(

You are in hot and sunny LOS.

Having said that, I try to put a slightly humourous side to my comments and decline from commenting on the subjects/ topics that I think are irrelevant or contentious. Where I can I provide information that might be of help.

Hey Jimbo. I am glad you are back. Your post is dead on. Mr. Polehawk and I were wondering were you had been. We need someone to show us how to play cowpasture pool.

Hope you will be at the April meeting.

Yes Indeed:
Next meeting on the 8th April - thinking of trying the Kakadu Cafe/Bar
It is located (ow will be soon) almost opposite the City Lodge and a stagger away from the Saloon Pub which could be an emergency backup:)

The kakadu is a sponsor of the forum so it should not be a problem and is another establishment to tick off our list of sponsors visited :)

Will be at April meeting at Kakadu (or backup venue if necessary).

Hoping to meet the hardier forumites who tough it out during the hot season - BP, Polehawk please note that attendees at "cow pasture pool" tend to diminish once the temperature reaches 40C (104F) :yikes:

Jimbo saying we might get heatstroke out there, Banpaeng? Maybe we should just meet at hole #19 and "talk" about golf over a frosted mug of Singha or Chang? What was that old saying....only mad dogs and Chinamen go out in the mid day sun?

Questions...there's always questions but where's the answers? :-k

bummer, jimbo, i'll miss chatting with you and meeting BB at the april meet, as i think i'll be out and about, school break. hope to make the june meeting after coming back, school starts up again mid may. a very slow drive to phuket and back should fill 6 weeks with no problem. bkk/huahin/prachuap khiri khan/chumphon beaches/khao lak/karon and kata beaches once there, then slow ride back up, maybe hop over to koh phayam off ranong, but maybe not, quite a bit of rumbling under the seas lately, and island very low, hate to wake up under water. enjoy the meetings, look forward to reading about what i missed. everyone be careful and safe.

Hi LA, do you have the number of your personal taxi driver? I wouldn't mind hiring him on the odd occasion if I've had one too many drinks.

Thanks
