Its a monthly get together of any forum members that want to come, originally the brain child of Paul who toughed it out and often sat alone till the word spread. Now its normally well attended, with some guys bringing their wives as well. What do we do, good question, suppose just talk, drink and generally socialise. Sounds boring written on here, but its far from that, its jolly good fun, informative and sometimes downright hilarious.I know one thing that sometimes is a concern of new participants, the bill. Generally we all have our own tabs, but occassionally someone will break out and have a shout, up to you.No pressures, if your a one beer man you can stick to that, I don't have many myself. Who's that laughing?willyboy wrote:who meets at these meetings? can anyone come and what do you do/

Any other suggestions for the 2nd September Meeting?
The Full Moon IMHO would be too noisy and too crowded and difficult to move around. It's the sort of place some members might want to adjourn to after the meeting!!
The Downunder has the space to move around (like the Koala) and would therefore be more appropriate,
(apart from the cigarette smoke of course!!
)
Any other thoughts or suggestions??![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Yes thats a big problem for me, smokey bars. really would like somewhere with outdoor seating. Never mind about me though. Will see some of you at night market, normally there just after 7pm. Nibbles and cheap beer, then about 9pm my wife normally goes off with some girl friends for a bit of head banging somewhere and I stay on to watch premier league football on the big screen.Thats my big night out.

Is that when you play the 'pin the tail to the Tiger Girl' game? LOL!valentine wrote:Nibbles and cheap beer, then about 9pm my wife normally goes off with some girl friends for a bit of head banging somewhere and I stay on to watch premier league football on the big screen.Thats my big night out.![]()
Ok so the plan could be food and beer at the nightmarket from 7pm, and then a few drinks at the Downunder Bar from 8pm onwards.
Now that would be telling Lee, but if you stick around you might find out, especially if I wear my green titteslee wrote:Is that when you play the 'pin the tail to the Tiger Girl' game? I'm sorry to disappoint you Val but the original red squares disappeared a long time ago. This little red square indicates a Thai style cafe with local Issan music, food and girls trying their best to sing the local Morlam songs.valentine wrote:Lee, on your map, Downunder Bar appears to have a red square just around the corner, could that be the swimming pool or a resurection of the little red dots only bigger?
Here is the current map legend:
