Udon Forum Meetings
it's real easy, coming away from train station, at traffic light, cross street and continue straight past vendors on right hand side of road (7-11 on corner). as you pass vendors you see some seating, then entrance into parking area, look right if haven't already and you can't miss the big screen/stage. along that row of vendors, numbers overhead, # 20 is my favorite, 35 bhat changs and food offerings, then beer leo/cheer gals right past there. pull up a bench/chair or you'll see me/us there. i'll be with Gem, the little one this evening, shorter hair, but not much different from pic, i'll be wearing a santa hat as will she probably, so hard to miss. if you pass a street, a right will take you to irish clock and top mansion, so if you have a udon map, the streets run parallel from robinson, then irish clock/top mansion/then street before entering parking lot for market and train station. screen/stage, between irish clock street and market street. hard to miss, especially is something playing on screen, which is usual. so, if coming from robinson area to train station, if you past 7-11, turn around and walk 10-20 meters back and look right at opening for seating and parking.

The big screen is not hard to miss but I'm guessing that you were looking around the center point area next to the train station which is the other side of the road to Precha Market where we were. Oh well never mind, there's always January 7th for the next meeting.Hi All
I come last night and look everywhere but not find, big screen, tiger girls or any falang, i not get the last post before i go so will have to look another time.
Barry
Last nights pre-Christmas udonmap forumites bash took place at the infamous Precha market next to the big screen, music stage and tiger beer girls.
Among the attendees were myself, arjay, David, a rather drunk guy called Sean, LA sporting a pin stripe suit and father Christmas hat and his daughter, Valentine and wife, jingjai, bill and sue, Paul and a friend from university (can't remember her name) and I think that's about all as far as my drunken mind can remember.
Anyway see you all at the next meeting which I believe will be at the Horseshoe Bar or one of the other bars in the area.
Happy Christmas everyone.
Lee
The venues are decided just a week or two before they take place - and generally we move around each month - however if you continue to read the forum you will always find out what and where.
There is another thread in the Headings 'Open Forum' titled 'The UdonMap Forumites Meeting' which has all the information about past meetings - however it seems to have been dragged to this Heading (General) also. Must try to get it back in its rightful home

Now then - which one of the people attending enjoyed lots of beer and then went home - without paying his bill?
There was a rather disappointed beer girl enquiring of his whereabouts
I have talked with the owner of the Horseshoe Bar - Ken, who was at the meeting in a white T-shirt with a rather broad Irish accent - he has agreed to a 10% discount on drinks to Forum members if they mention the forum or the website. If I push him a bit harder I am sure I can arrange some nibbles and snacks if we have a forumites meeting in there keep you posted

Mmmm, maybe it was that guy (REM lead singer look-alike) who couldn't stand upright but somehow managed to get on his bike and ride home? Now then - which one of the people attending enjoyed lots of beer and then went home - without paying his bill?

I remember paying my bill because it was a little more than usual after buying most of the members a drink that night, and was presented the bill by a very attractive Singha Beer lady.
Happy Christmas everyone, must get going now I don't want Christmas lunch to get cold.

In the meantime - can all members who want to add anything about the monthly meetings, please write it in the original post - "The Udonmap Forumites monthly meetings - by Paul888" (its next to this one in the Open Forum Index.) IE _ NOT HERE!
When this is acheived and we get back on track with just one post - I will enquire with Lee if we can make that post a 'stickie'? (So its always there for reference) and start a new 2006 meetings one. I think 30 pages is getting a bit much ?
Happy New Year To all
