Air force plane crashes in Thailand
Bangkok, Nov. 8 : A military jet of the Royal Thai Air Force crashed in northern Thailand today morning, killing all the seven crews on board, a military source said.

The source said the REAR-JET, which has been in air force service for 17 years, crashed Wednesday morning in the lower- northern province of Nakhon Sawan on its way heading to the northeastern province of Khon Kaen. All the seven people on board were killed as the impact of the crash-landing caused the plane's fuselage to break into pieces.

The jet, belonging to an aerobatic flight team, crashed just 30 minutes after taking off from an air base in Nakhon Sawan. The pilot, mechanicians and photographers were all killed.

The reason of the accident was still under investigation.

It was a Lear jet.Type 35A purchased from Israel Aircraft industries.. It was used by RTAF as a reconnaisance aircraft . This is the third of this type to crash this year, seemingly without warning.

The previous fatal crash was in June this year at Connecticut, and this is the Model that David Coulthard, the McClaren racing driver walked away from in May 2000 when it crashed killng the pilot and co-pilot.Image
