Don’t you just hate unverified rumours?
The latest for me is ‘Tesco is leaving Thailand’...............Well at least that’s what I heard.
So, does anyone have any concrete facts on this topic?
Are we losing Tesco in Thailand?

Re: Are we losing Tesco in Thailand?
Just did a search on this & saw a header from the FT saying Tesco's are 'pulling their bulk business ' here.
However, I couldn't open the page unless I paid for a subscription.. .

Staff at the old Nong Khai junction Tesco told me the work going on was "creation of a new mall" , no more than that but ??????

That would make sense looking at the situation they have shrunk the store cash registers will be moved back and more retail shops to be built in there place.

Since at least 2014, there have been persistent rumors, all ultimately unfounded, about the Thai joint-venture's imminent demise based on the UK parent company consistently hiving off other parts of their international and regional business joint-ventures and investments.
After Tesco shuttered the bulk sales unit of their Thai business only 4 months ago, I think the rumor mill is in overdrive again.
