Insurance requirements up to 3Million baht
Re: Insurance requirements up to 3Million baht
I have found that those who don't use the option to leave the enchanted kingdom every so often and get a reality check either in their homeland or some other country, tend to be the most vociferous at denigrating their Thai hosts. They also get upset at the slightest thing that challenges their views on internet forums. Most all of them shop at Tescos (study not peer reviewed).
As my dad would say, a change is as good as a rest.

Everything was done with a Non-O with no 90-day Visa border runs.parrot wrote: ↑October 23, 2021, 9:04 amTechland wrote: ↑October 23, 2021, 8:09 amAlready in 2019 when this scheme first came up there was information how to change from OA to O. O does not need insurance at all.

You started with a 90-day O Visa, then got a one-year OA Visa? I'm sure you did that so you would not have to do a Visa run every 3 months.

Same with me. I've known at least 3 others with the same experience.

Three million baht insurance for a " virus " that has a mortalty rate under 2% and those dying are from the 3 usual groups, namely the old , those with pre existing chronic illness conditions and the clinically obese . Seems like the insurance companies are getting all their Songkran gifts early. Also most " infected peoole" according to available stats. recover quickly.

The insurance requirement is not specifically for COVID.
Old codgers on retirement visas are subject to a whole range of illnesses and disabilities.
