It seems a couple have gone unnoticed, or at least uncommented.

It doesn't look good with only a glimmer of hope that Move Forward and its elected representatives will survive.

Pita, the 40-odd MP's who signed the pledge to amend the charter, the MFP and all who briefly rode in the MFP charabanc, are toast.

A whole, Warburton's-sized loaf of toast.

Same as it ever was, in a country that pretends it is a democracy.

It will end as it usually does with the military, business elites and certain individuals deciding the political fate of politicians who are deemed a threat to the status quo.

Now now, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Thailand is like your girlfriend: it's different. It has a "special democracy". That's what Prem Tinsulanonda called it when he assumed the Prime Ministerial mantle many moons ago and it has served the nation well ever since.

Agreed, the outcome will end in another coup if the "Move Forward" party gains too much momentum and the puppet parties with the corrupt bureaucrats not keeping them under control.

An argument has been posed that the Section 112 law is part of the Thai Criminal Code and therefore not in the purview of the Constitutional Court.

Recent coups have been led by the military against popular, elected governments. Due to the duplicitous actions of the Shinawatra's, this current government is in no shape or form a popular or elected one. It's fundamentally the same elite/military cronyism with a fake veneer of populism. Unless there's an undisclosed band of disenfranchised generals, typically graduates from the same military school, who feel the urgent need to top-up their retirement funds, I don't see another coup. However, I can see public protests where more supporters of the dissolved MFP will be arrested and detained than any from the counter-protesting royalist camp.

As predicted.
Thai court dissolves progressive Move Forward Party

In short:

- Thailand's Constitutional Court has ruled to dissolve the opposition Move Forward Party (MFP) and ban its executives from political office for 10 years.

- The progressive political party won the most seats at the last election in 2023, but was blocked from forming a government last year by conservative forces in the military-appointed Senate.

- MFP leader Chaithawat Tulathon said its MPs would form a new party this week.

With the Senate 'fix' in place, Thaksin's proxy PM continuing to take a battering and Bhumjaithai's oppressive influence growing (see Senate fix), it's time to focus on the looming global recession, led by the US, and how that will affect Thailand.

I mean how many goldfish do puppet regimes really need?

It's a simple effective plan. If you can't beat them, outlaw them and dispose of them. Ignore what the people vote for.
