More baht bus Pick-pocket Crime from patters..
Finnish Tourist detains Baht Bus Thief.
Well organized gangs targeting foreigners on Baht Buses operate here in Pattaya. Local Police Divisions will often run undercover operations to catch the gang members, however on occasion members of the public are able to catch these thieves red-handed.
This is one such case which occurred on a Baht Bus in the early hours of Friday Morning. Mr. Johan Hanpa aged 37 from Finland was travelling on the Baht Bus when a smartly dressed woman sat beside him. She started to hold him tight and even kissed him on the cheek. Mr. Hanpa realized that something was not right and saw the woman pass items to the driver of a BMW car driving next to the Baht Bus. Mr. Hanpa alerted the taxi driver who stopped and Mr. Hanpa detained the woman, who was in fact a transsexual, Khun Chaiyot aged 28.
He later confessed to committing many similar thefts. Police are now hunting for the Silver BMW which escaped before Police arrived. The driver of the car was handed the victims wallet which contained 4,000 Baht in cash which has yet to be recovered.

What is it with these chaps in dresses? Does the prerequisite have to be that you've to harbour criminal tendencies before going on gender reassignment?beer monkey wrote:More baht bus Pick-pocket Crime from patters.Finnish Tourist detains Baht Bus Thief.

GIRLFRIEND CLAIMS AMERICAN STABBED HER IN ANGER
http://www.pattayadailynews.com/shownew ... 0000008112
In Pattaya a Thai woman escaped serious injury when, she claims, her American boyfriend tried to stab her after he found out she’d stolen his helmet to trade for drugs.
On the 26th December at 6.00 am. Miss Bua Bundit [19], a go-go dancer from Kon Kaen working in Walking Street, made a report to Pol. Lt. Col. Sompol Nakkumpan, the Pattaya duty investigator at the Pattaya police station. She showed officials her left palm with a 20 cm. long wound covered in blood. Her T-shirt was also bloodstained.
Miss Bua said she had been living with her boyfriend, Mr. Bruce Alan Weaver [42], an American national, for quite some time at Moo Baan Yailao, Soi Korpai, South Pattaya, Moo.10.
Four days ago she needed some Yah Bah but didn’t want to ask him for the money. She then took his helmet to trade for one tablet of the drug (to the value of 300 baht) from the local drug dealer.
When Mr. Weaver found out he gave her the money to get his helmet back but the dealer refused to return it because she’d left it there too long.
Miss Bua told the police that she was scared of her boyfriend and so decided to hide at her sister's place not far from where they live.
After realizing what happened Mr. Weaver then followed her. According to Miss Bua, Mr. Weaver slapped and kicked her and pulled out two pocket knives and attempted to hurt her. She tried to grab the knives cutting her left palm in the process. Her sister managed to stop their fight before heading to report the incident to the police.
Police arrested Mr. Bruce Alan Weaver with the two knives and brought him to the police station. Mr. Weaver testified that he did not hurt her or attempted to hurt her at all but he confessed that he was very angry and that she was a drug addict and had traded his favourite helmet to feed her habit. Police charged him with assault with a weapon and the case is now being processed.

American accused of underage sex
pattayapeople.com
American expat Mr. Kent Meek from Oklahoma found himself in hot water on his return to Pattaya.
The 64 year old was arrested at his home in Jomtien Niwate Village on Pratamnak Road on the 29th December, accused of sexually abusing a young boy. He was taken to the Immigration office on Soi 5, Jomtien where the 15 year old boy’s parents notified officers that the American had returned to his house after disappearing earlier in the year when they first made the report to the police. Mr. Kent strenuously denies any wrong doing and is now awaiting a court case to clear his name.

Bar owner found dead in Thailand
Pattaya in Thailand
Mr Stewart owned a bar in the Thai resort of Pattaya
A Scottish businessman has been found dead at a holiday resort in Thailand.
The body of bar owner Steven Stewart, 40, from Auchterarder, was found by a maid at the Thong Guest House in Pattaya on Sunday.
He had flown to Thailand just weeks after being convicted of assaulting a pensioner at a pub in Dunning, Perthshire, in October.
A spokesman for Thai police said Mr Stewart's death was not being treated as suspicious.
A hearing at Perth Sheriff Court in November was told Mr Stewart returned to Scotland to make money for his ailing business in Pattaya.
'Heavy drinking'
He was arrested on 5 October after launching an unprovoked attack on a stranger in a pub toilet, claiming he was so drunk he believed his 67-year-old victim was an aggressive skinhead.
After telling the court he had earned £3,000, he was fined £2,000 and ordered to give the rest in compensation to his victim.
Thai Police confirmed on Tuesday Mr Stewart's body was found in Pattaya on Sunday afternoon.
Despite injuries to his face and head, officers said they did not suspect foul play and instead described him as a victim of "excess".
Thai police Lt-Colonel Sompon added: "He had clearly been drinking heavily and had to be helped to his room by guest house staff."
Staff had helped Mr Stewart to his room in the early hours of the morning and was not seen again until the maid found him, still fully-clothed, during the afternoon.
A post mortem to establish the cause of death has still to be concluded.
