latest financial investigations into RED Bull and the Panama Papers

Billions hidden

Attention grabbing headline to an article that fails to deliver much. Typically financial accounting deals are "revealed" whereas financial accounting misdeeds are "exposed". Unfortunately, the last sentence is the only thing to take away from this puff piece.
There is no indication the Yoovidhya family's accounts violated any laws, but the extremely confidential deals can also be used to evade taxes or launder money.
That should handily dodge any potential defamation claims.

Do we know if anybody has asked Mateschitz for his take on the morals of his business partners? Then again, maybe he was a client of Mossack Fonseca as well.

Re: Red Bull Heir - Interpol blue and red notices issued

Post by tamada » August 30, 2017, 10:45 pm

August 22, local Thai media reports Interpol blue notice issued. A blue notice requests foreign police assistance in locating someone.

http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/interp ... bull-heir/

August 29, foreign media reports Interpol red notice issued. A red notice enables foreign police to apprehend a person ahead of extradition.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/mor ... ee2f179211

Is it possible that the blue notice has worked in locating him and now the red notice can be applied?

I am also thinking about getting a lottery ticket for the 1st.

Waited for Yingluck to abscond first then deal with this

They couldnt allow her to leave and issue a warrant within a few hours, but let this alleged murderer stay untouched.

Wow, amazing Thailand lives up to its name in bucketfuls. Drive a car, kill a Police officer and not one day spent in a jail, got to be a first. Bet the Police are really happy ........not............. about this . Except those who have benefitted.

im guessing the Red Bull family were one of the 20 Billionares contacted for bail out ""ideas"" and funds by the PM and favours lead to favours n the young fella gets a ticket to return .

It was always on the cards and so should not be a suprise at all.

Money to family agreed long time ago, amounts to others on the fringes takes long time to agree. Sorry maybe I am just being cynical. Outcome never in doubt. Feel sorry for the 2 Burmese lads on an Island further south from Issan.

Exactly. Much ado about nothing IMHO. Yes a whole demographic of lowly Thai exhale and collectively say, "twas ever thus" and get on with doing what's best. Others simply acknowledge "there but for the grace of Buddha go I" and carry on playing the same, sad game. Not my monkeys, not my circus.

FWIW, according to tam the younger, "Boss" is already coming back in his next incarnation as a tick on my red dog's nutsack.

as an aside , I doubt if there is much love lost on the Red Bull Heir , his future if he comes back will be watched closely by those who can and his future longevity might be in doubt . The deceased will have had friends who may not be happy about this. Karma may still well happen.

What - if anything - is likely to come out of this?
Thai police launch inquiry into dropped charges against Red Bull heir

Decision to end case against Vorayuth Yoovidhya to be investigated after public pressure

Thai police have opened an internal investigation after charges were dropped against the billionaire Red Bull heir in a fatal hit-and-run case amid outrage over a perceived culture of impunity for the rich.

Then we are subject to this news item:-
PPTV 36 reported that on the 4th of December 2019, seven years after the accident, two witnesses gave new information.

They said that sources at the public prosecutors' office indicated that these were an air force man with the rank of "air marshall" and a man called Mr J (whose name started with the Thai letter จ - jor/jaan).

They were in a pick-up that had been following Sen Sgt Wichian Klanprasert down the road.

Just before the accident they said that the policeman on his motorcycle was in the far left lane by the footpath. They were in the second lane and the Ferrari was in the third lane by the central reservation.

They were sure that the Ferrari was doing 60 - 80 kmph only.

The policeman suddenly went into the second lane causing them to swerve into the lane nearest the footpath.

The policeman then went into the third lane in front of the Ferrari who could not possibly avoid a collision.

They completely blamed the policeman for the accident that took his life.
Do these idiots with their fully stuffed 'Brown Envelopes' really believe the average Thai citizen is going to believe this BS.

Obviously 2 more outstanding Thai's on the 'Gravy Train". :censored:

So the cops will investigate the cops and the judiciary will investigate the judiciary. What's the problem?
