Interesting story here. I vaguely remember the case when it made headlines here last year but following her recent sentence reduction, here's three interesting links. First the current state of play and the background as reported in SA media, the second from people and organizations fighting for her freedom and why. The last about the person probably most responsible for her incarceration and his rationale for remaining free and doing what he's doing.

What a scumbag. If he were truly concerned for her and would now be willing to take her place, which of course he is full of ---- with this claim after the fact, he should have returned to Thailand as soon as she was arrested and avoided this situation for her in the first place.

Totally agree. What has he to fear by returning to Thailand? After all, he was a respected teacher at a prestigious private school on the island. Apparently his business partner is still working there.Kenr6583 wrote: ↑August 23, 2022, 1:54 amWhat a scumbag. Got to admit though, if he sees his current chosen vocation as some sort of atonement or cleansing of his soul, here's hoping he gets captured before he gets on the wrong end of an RPG.
So you don't think Ashley is a gangster's moll then?

Anything is possible. No matter what, she put herself into a life changing predicament, whether by choice or by being naive.tamada wrote: ↑August 23, 2022, 6:01 amTotally agree.
