SNP boots Gordon Bennett in the Gorbals

Yesterday it was the turn of Glasgow East and the Scottish Nationalist Party to deliver a painful kick to Gordon in the Gorbals.

This followed the recent trouncing of GB and the Labour Party at Crewe & Nantwich by the Conservatives.

According to the psephologists (political bean counters), the swing away from Labour & Gordon Bennett to the SNP was 22.5%, in Crewe and Nantwich it was 17.6% to the Conservatives.

Prior to the recent by-elections the only thing that Crewe & Glasgow East had in common was that they were both rock solid safe Labour seats.
