Yes Vlad just read that on BBC. Condolences to his family and may the sick c**t perpetrators rot in hell.
Al-Qaeda 'kills British hostage'

Downing Street says there is "strong reason to believe" that a British citizen has been killed by al-Qaeda militants in north-west Africa.

Edwin Dyer was kidnapped in Niger in January, but was being held in Mali.

The group had said it would kill Mr Dyer if the British government refused to release radical Muslim cleric Abu Qatada from a UK prison.

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown condemned what he called an "appalling and barbaric act of terrorism".

He later told the Commons: "I want those who use terror against this country, and against British citizens, to know beyond doubt that they will be hunted down and brought to justice.

"There will be no hiding place for them and no safe haven for terrorists who attack our country."

Abu Qatada is awaiting extradition to Jordan, where he was convicted of terrorism offences in his absence and faces life in jail.

Mr Dyer, who spoke fluent German and had been working in Austria, was kidnapped in Niger on 22 January, close to the border with Mali.

He was captured along with a number of other European tourists, including two Swiss and one German. The group had been visiting the Anderamboukane festival on nomad culture.

On the other channel British troops have killed a Taliban chief believed to be responsible for the deaths of two British servicemen in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Defence has said.

Mullah Mansur is believed to be behind suicide bomber attacks against British and Afghan forces in and around Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand Province.

These include the suicide attacks which killed Sergeant Ben Ross of the Royal Military Police and Gurkha Corporal Kumar Pun in Gereshk on May 7.

Mansur was killed by UK Apache helicopters in the early hours of Monday in an isolated area near Nahr e Saraj, north east of Lashkar Gah, said the MoD. :guiness:

The first story is sickening and i spared a thought for Edwin Dyer, hard to imagine what he was thinking and what he had been through and then murdered because of some sack of Cr*p that is behind bars in the uk...(who will get a kicking for his troubles i am sure)

But the mood lifts when the other story is read, but my thoughts will stay with Edwin....and Bravo to the Copter crew.

From what I understand the Muslim cleric Abu Qatada should never have been in a UK prison in the first place and this poor guy would never have been killed.
The cleric was to be deported back to Jordan to face trail there, but Politically correct do gooders said it would contravene his human rights if he was sent back.
I hope the do-gooders can sleep at night knowing that they might have contributed to the death of Mr Dyer.

On a separate issue. If there was a death penalty in the UK and this cleric was tried and found guilty and sentenced to death, would Mr Dyer still be alive?.

If it wasn't Abu Qatada then I am sure these sick ##### would find some other half baked rationale to have executed poor Mr Dyer.
I think the sad but simple fact is they enjoy lopping off the heads of the "crusaders" and until the teaching of hatred to young, pliable minds stops it will continue.

If you dont see anymore posts off me you will know the reason.
No you're not being bullied. :? Your thread about an Englishman beheaded by Al Quaeda was posted in General Udon Thai topics and was moved by a moderator to the correct category 'world news'. A moderator then contacted to say why he had moved it and advised you to check the forum headings before posting.

The sole reason why i posted the thread was to let the English guys that live in udon know we had a brit executed. When i post a topic i normally just put it under a new thread as most new threads appear on the main home page when i log in and any i fancy reading the new threads i look them up off the main page it is very rare i go to the sports page or world news page.
