Malaysian Airlines Plane Shot Down Over Ukraine

Post by Aardvark » July 18, 2014, 8:27 am

Yep, can't imagine the Ukraine wanting to shoot at something leaving their Airspace, but certainly the Rebels would be shooting at anything that came onto their Radar. Inexperienced Hillbillies couldn't even recognise a Civilian Ping coming from the Aircraft. And so the question also has to be asked, why did Malaysian retain this Flight Path when almost everyone else was avoiding the area ??

The Ukraines have released arecording of Russian Intel talking to pro Russian forces.
UKRAINIAN security services claim to have intercepted two phone conversations in which pro-Russian separatists discuss having just shot down a civilian plane. A transcript of the phone intercept was made shortly after MH17 was shot down. The participants are reportedly a Pro-Russian rebel, a Russian minister, and another a GRU (Russian intelligence) officer. The transcript and audio of the reported phone call follows:

Working in Qatar at the moment and for some reason can only get Fox News in my compound. Fox news have hijacked this grotesque occurrence into nothing more than an anti-Russian and anti US State Department rant.
God; do these guys ever stop

And on a more sobering note ... a message from Newcastle United FC about the two fans who died in the tragedy, on their way to NZ to watch the team play friendly matches.

It is with great sadness that we learn today the tragic news of the deaths of John Alder and Liam Sweeney, two of the Club's most loyal supporters, who lost their lives on Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 which crashed on Thursday afternoon in Eastern Ukraine.

John and Liam were travelling out to New Zealand together to support Newcastle United in the forthcoming Football United Tour, which takes place next week in Dunedin and Wellington.

Both men were familiar faces at every Newcastle United away game and attended not only first team games but Reserve and Academy matches too.

John was a lifelong supporter and a familiar sight in the stands for almost half-a-century, having barely missed a single game in that time.

Liam will be known to many fans during his time volunteering as a steward on supporters' buses to away games.

Newcastle United Managing Director Lee Charnley said: "The loss of John and Liam is truly devastating news.

"Both men were dedicated supporters of our Club and were known to thousands of fans and staff alike.

"On behalf of everyone at Newcastle United we send our deepest condolences to John and Liam's families and friends.

"The Club will be dedicating an area surrounding the Sir Bobby Robson statue for fans to pay their respects to John and Liam.

"The manager and players will also be wearing black armbands for both their games against Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix in the Football United Tour of New Zealand.

"Arrangements will be made to pay tribute to the two men at the Club's first Premier League game against Manchester City on Sunday, 17th August. Further information regarding this will be announced in due course."

Manager Alan Pardew said: "Myself and all the players are deeply shocked and saddened by this terrible news.

"We all knew how passionately John and Liam supported the team and the Club.

"They were with us just earlier this week for our first pre-season friendly against Oldham and their dedication to travel all the way around the world to support us in New Zealand tells you all you need to know about the passion they had for Newcastle United.

"Our hearts go out to their families and friends."

I don't follow the English football, but know of Newcastle , But what I do understand is that sporting clubs world wide have dedicated fans who live the dream of being there with their club through the good and the bad.

These guys were club legends and sadly and tragically lost their lives living their dream to see them play on the clubs overseas tour,

RIP to these guys, true sporting legends for Newcastle.

All too predictably the bad guys are keeping the crash investigators from the crash site. The Aussies and Americans are talking tough. It will be interesting to see how the Europeans respond given the Dutch losses. They might do sod all.

Looks like da Rooskies supplied the rebels with a BUK system, intended to take out a Ukranian military aircraft. The rebels appear to have mistakenly taken out MH17...

Mebbe so. Mebbe not.

Still, the Malaysian Airlines involvement as pure coincidence, is hard to accept...

Wrong place at the wrong time. Failed to take advice from most other Aviationauthorities over flying over a war zone. Choose to save costs and not divert. Criminal negligence in many countries. Class action suits lining up already i imagine.

Maybe Malaysia needs to investigate the political leanings of Its airline pilots. Two planes lost in a short period of time. When they showed the radar of planes over Europe you will notice very few planes over Ukraine. Why was this plane on this flight path?

According to press statements from MAS. The flight path was not cancelled or withdrawn. It was still operating despite warnings. Pilots dont normally choose these. They are pre allocated . But.....

But hopes are not high. The OSCE was trying to gain access to one part of the large crash site but the commander of a rebel unit, known as Commander Glum, blocked them. After the warning shot, the OSCE convoy departed.

There is also confusion over the black boxes and other devices apparently salvaged from the plane. A rebel military commander initially said he was considering what to do with them, while another rebel leader, Aleksandr Borodai, contradicting his colleague, said the rebels had no black boxes or any other devices.

This is going to be a bigger cluster ---- than their last lost flight.

Nobody is going to own up to shooting it down and with what.

But a few NSA satelites and tracking from on the ground will pin down the launch site soon. Lets hope they dont rely on pings from an immarsat eh?

Russia is going to lay this all off to tge rebels. They will accept it and say fkuc the world and Russia will pay them off in a year or so subtly...
