It would be interesting to read what experts think are the main drivers for this success.
This is a change that is to be expected as treatments that improve survival are found.

It says nothing about the long term effects that are being discovered in survivors even if they had no symptoms, the percentage of people with these effects is unknown, some/many/most/all? The time these after effects will last of if they are a permanent change is also unknowable now, probably will not be known for years or decades.

In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

I agree westers - but slipping in and out like you do, you are in danger of wearing the same label.
Yes, probably.

In UK as a whole, there were 3 deaths recorded in the latest 24 hours with around 1012 being identified as infected. Is the shape of the viral impact on UK changing. Some are saying that the age group most prevalent with infection is the 26-44 age group with over 100,000 being tested (although not sure of the period with respect to testing being undertaken).

Interesting to note that the 26-44 demographic probably captures the bulk of the non-essential English summer holidaymakers who just had their soujourns in Spain, France, Netherlands and (maybe) Greece royally shat upon by the UK's latest weird government science. If people can't suss out for themselves the risks that still prevail, then let them squander their hard-furloughed earnings on panic repatriation travel.

Yes, that's all a big concern. Particularly for the US. Gotta keep pushing the R number down.

Oh maybe, but I don't have data to support such a probability.

Hard furloughed? I had a team of eight test engineers and I opted to furlough four, all have now returned. Three were classed by the Govt and our employer as vulnerable (diabetes, Crohns disease sufferers, etc.). The fourth couldn't undertake his activities due to the viral impact. The rest of the team could work from home.

^ Excellent employer and conscientious staff. Now I wonder how many of the stress-monkeys coming back from France had pre-existing medical conditions or needed shielding?

Hmmm, I'm not sure, but you think they were all furloughed?

Maybe not all but none of them was going to die because they didn't get a European summer holiday.

Lovely picture there Earnest.

Travel is looking more and more dodgy within Europe. Discouraging it brings the R number down.

And then you get overpaid English football players getting drunk in Greece, beating up cops and trying to buy them off.

If ever a sign that the sun has truly set on the British empire, Harry Maguire has served it up.
