Pipo I have been consistent in my views on the injustice that was perpetrated on Assange for 29 posts on this Forum, going back to August of 2010.

I note this was your first post on the issue since you joined in 2011. But along with many positive things in your post, you chose to conflate and slam the apparent inaction of 9 years of conservative governments with the positive, and successful actions of the current progressive government.

All a bit strange to me.
Why slant the post as a Labor vs Liberal issue, JS and I don't think I mentioned 9 Years.

My post was not about the Australian Political internal scene and or the incompetence of a Labor Governments vs the incompetence of a Liberal Government

Unlike some, my life does not revolve around any Australian Political Party, how great their leadership is or isn't, which Party has the greatest number of A..Holes is it or which is the most incompetent on any given day. \:D/ :-k ,

I have no time for either Party and have a life to live. \:D/ \:D/

I think Assange is an attention wh0re looking to make big money from information he obtained by theft. Nothing heroic about hacking and stealing.

You may be right about the attention seeking, but how do you make money banged up for years in an Embassy building, followed by more years in a high security prison cell - the latter, which of course, was just pure bastardy by the HM prisons system.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be a fan of Ellsberg or Snowden either. ;)

Australia is at fault for allowing a known criminal a passport way back in the early 90s

Narcissism isn't a crime, federal or otherwise. Neither is having sour grapes.

Working as a Russian asset--wittingly, unwittingly or half-wittingly--to interfere in an American election is. Especially if one uses classified US intel to do so. Calling yourself a journalist doesn't magically hand wave that away.

I can only surmise, but I don't think America / any of its Officials, have every interfered with the Elections and or Politics of any other Country, have they [-( [-( [-( Or even knowing invaded another Country without reason just to change the Politics or Regime of that Country or ever hacked into another Counties classified security systems, HAVE THEY. [-( [-( -

They even did it to one of their long time allies, Australia, back in the the days of Goff W [-(

Isn't it all about,

"THE POT CALLING THE KETTLE BLACK" or [-( [-( and if so "WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER" [-( :-k

I can only just speculate, how many NSA Directors, CIA Directors, Senators and or House of Representatives Members, would be culpable (if it was a crime) and how many should be extradited to those other Countries if it was crime, but I will hazard a guess and say "All of them", with one or two exceptions. You would need to go back a long way and dig up half of the Cemeteries in America, to find all of those involved. [-(

If this practice hasn't been somewhat of a national past time by the USA for the past 80 years I would be absolutely F......... Amazed

This was a great movie and pretty close to the truth I suspect. I wonder how it ever got on the screen

Just recently, the color revolution in Ukraine that put Zelensky in power has Victoria Nuland's fingerprints all over it.

The efforts currently underway (with help from Samantha Power) to unseat Viktor Orbán in Hungary.

So yes, it has happened and is still happening.

I am so surprised :-k :-k

So American Diplomats and those back in the USA who pull the strings can do what they want, when they want and they are immune to the Law of those other Countries :-k :-k

It is done in coordination with the CIA (using funds to buy revolution opposition) and the use of promised foreign aid funds to buy political opposition.

The opponents are usually already in disfavor with the US government or US president or whomever.

Nuland (Ukraine) operated through the Obama Administration. That's how Joe and Hunter got their foothold over there. She has since retired from the State Department, but is now doing some behind the scenes political work for Democrats. Power (Hungary) is an Obama holdover who was hired by Biden.

All designed to keep Europe dependent on US oil and gas and the oil and gas of their middle east proxies.

At least Trump wants Europe to stand on their own two (dozen or so) feet.

The US isn't doing hardly any oil and gas exploration and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is just about empty. Biden shut oil and gas down to go all electric.

Saudi Arabia doesn't like Joe, so I don't know who Joe's Middle East proxies would be.

It looks more to me (especially Ukraine) like a pipeline for money laundering of federal tax revenue under the guise of foreign aid.

In the case of Hungary, a favor to the EU to remove one of their problems.

Yes, all correct. So ultimately it will turn the EU into a vassal state. Dependent solely on revamped US oil and gas production (under Trump) while helping dispose of nationalist leaders despite their stifling popularity in their homelands.

I'm not making any political predictions for the 2024 election other than the one I stated earlier: if Democrats dump Biden, it'll be a Newsom and Susan Rice ticket.
