in an interview with the Bradley gunner he related he knew how to deal with the T90 from his playing video games.. He targeted the optics on the T90 and the HE rounds peppered the tank likely causing all optics, sights and vision periscopes to get shattered.. Once tech blinded the T90 commander would have one option, popping the hatch and peaking out. He certainly wasn't going to do that with 25mm HE round splattering his turret continuously. It demonstrates that Main Battle Tanks are vulnerable to Infantry fighting vehicles at short range. Had that T90 been standing off to its the max range of its 125mm main gun of around 4km he would have been out of range of the Bradley's 25mm..

That's fascinating. When I was living in the US, I recall a news story about how armed forces recruiters were all about encouraging the indolent, gaming youth to enlist. I think getting a free, top-of-the-line gaming box of your choice was one of the incentives. They recognised their fast reflexes developed from hours in darkened rooms, hunched over Nintendos, PlayStations and Xboxes, would be perfect for a new age of 'fast and furious' armed combat. A few, including myself, thought that being sh*t-hot at anything based on a Tom Clancy novel really wasn't a viable skill set. From the emergence of surgical drone strikes in Iraq or Yemen being piloted from a bunker in Nebraska, to Bradley gunners taking out the trash in Ukraine, I guess it has all come to fruition.

but, the episode shows that a tank moving forward into hostile territory always needs infantry support to screen them. The grunts with RPG's, ATGM's riding up in IFV's, dismounting and providing protection to the tanks. If they'd been out in the area the Bradley probably would have gotten hit or driven off quickly..

So the Russian are exhibiting limited basic combat skills and no fundamental tank strategy. Maybe a training issue or conscripts being rushed in to positions. Last week you were doing time in Lefortovo for grand theft auto, this week you're the driver of a T-90. Maybe they miss Wagner, no?

So, the G7 professes their enduring support for Ukraine as the second anniversary of Russia's invasion passes.

Being part of a tank crew must be a super scary job. With all the kamikaze drones with pinpoint accuracy killing your sighting devices and being left blind leaves you helpless. Even dropping paint bombs would take a tank out of action.

More money, more weapons, more men. Same end result. Adiós Ukraine, we're right behind you. You have a bright future just like we stood behind every one else in the last 50 years. Just list the people thrown under the bus. Starting with jumping on helicopter to get the hell out of Vietnam down to bodies falling off planes as we flee Afghanistan. What was zelensky thinking taking advice from Boris johnson. We just chucked 61$ billion at it,
But using PPP Russia will spend 370$ billion. Because Russia gets a lot more BANG for its buck, $500 drones taking out $10,000,000 tanks. So how long will this money last. The last 100 billion already gone ?. And what happens next, another 150 billion ? By the end 2026 Russia will have all the territory it wants and will simply dig in and continue killing as many Ukrainian soldiers untill Ukraine can send no more but it's children.
How sad it is we have the russian money that should be held to rebuild Ukraine, but it's being taken by us to sell weapons we produce just for profit for ourselves, how about a windfall tax on defence suppliers. Oh well all very sad but very predictable

Don't know what all the big fuss is about. Ukraine only lost 31000 soldiers in two years, Israel managed more than that in women and children in a few months. Read the sun newspaper and you'll be sick of winning, victory after victory. Hundreds of thousands of young Russians slaughtered like sheep. I'm also impressed with the game changing weapons we have sent that have proved to be invincible. We actually sent $10,000,000 tanks that seem very good at taking out $500 FPV drones. About 17000 tanks a month needed to take care of the drones. I wonder how much the next bunch of money laundering will take. Another 100 billion before Christmas? . Let's not be sinical though about the vast majority staying in America to feed the military industries, none of it will go direct, America will choose what Ukraine don't need. Tow missiles, apparently 10,000 of them @ $80,000 a go. Then you need to train 10,000 soldiers how to use them. And one minute after they stick Thier head up ... Bang a $500 drone takes him out. By the way I think the vast majority of that is the weapon cost not the drone, so when they say $ 500 I think they mean Hong Kong dollars. Mind boggling how people actually believe this crap. The war will go on, Ukraine will be crushed, the world will be a different place. Russia will much stronger with a powerful army and thriving economy. As westerner I can't believe that zelensky fell for Boris Johnson's BS. We're behind you all the way to the next election. didn't zelensky look at the track record of the west?. Marvelous jobs in past, so many happy countries we have helped.

Biden has changed policy and Ukraine is now allowed to use US-made weaponry against targets inside Russia.

A timely action since Russia has been making gains on the eastern front while Zelenskiy claims his forces are being starved of ammunition by the US and UN's collective torpor.

"When the UK's Challenger 2 main battle tanks first came off the production lines in Leeds and Tyneside back in 1994, the notion of them ever invading Russia was simply inconceivable, writes global affairs expert Peter Apps.
However, this month, it's reported that some of the 14 Challengers supplied by the UK to the Ukrainian government last year have done just that, leading an unexpected charge into Russia's central province of Kursk."

Just listening to and reading some of the rhetoric (words of war) between the Parties, from Russia to NATO, EU Commission, US, Ukraine and several other Countries and from them to Russia.

Russia may say it has so called Red Lines which they currently abide by, but my view is that Russia will one day abandon them and obliterate KIEV one night, as a message to NATO and others in the EU.

A trigger is likely to be, if those who support Ukraine with weapons, provide Ukraine with long range capability, i.e. the ability to strike Moscow, given Moscow is only 870km away from Kiev. If Putin and or Medvedev consider Moscow can or will be threatened by the AGM-158 JASSMs or other long range weapons, then I believe they will not hesitate to make the call and send a message to NATO and the USA. KEIV in my view is likely to be the recipient of that first message.

Another trigger is likely to be if the ICC ever manage to arrest Putin and take him to the Hauge. I wouldn't want to be in The HAGUE, if and when that happens.

If you think Putin is a loose cannon, wait until Dimitry Medvedev takes the reins.

Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, will meet the UN secretary general, António Guterres, on Thursday to discuss the Ukraine conflict, according to the Kremlin, in what would be the UN chief’s first trip to Russia in more than two years. The UN did not immediately confirm the planned meeting, which Ukraine strongly criticised, saying: “The UN secretary general declined Ukraine’s invitation to the first global peace summit in Switzerland. He did, however, accept the invitation to Kazan from war criminal Putin.”

What's next for our intrepid sock puppet António? A meeting with Hamas in Qatar? Hezbollah in Teheran maybe?
