Re: China breaks its word over Hong Kong
well John Wayne, i mainly use logic and reason. The purpose of any blockade is to wreck the economy of the country, in order to force compliance and/or make an example of that country and show other countries what happens if they dont listen to the us. (its called bully tactics).Stantheman wrote: ↑January 14, 2021, 11:38 pmHey Chopper, please provide some kind of PROOF on the crippling blockades of Cuba. Doubt you can comrade.chopperjoey wrote: ↑January 14, 2021, 6:11 pm
How about the usa wrecking Cuba, another independent island nation, for decades now? Thanks to these crippling blockades the people of Cuba live in economic misery for decades now.
If the usa imposes a blockade and it would NOT wreck or criple the economy in that case the usa would have failed enormously.

Covid originated in China but only bc of the utter incompetence of countries like the usa it could grow into a pandemic that still rages on. Blaming others is always a sign of ones own weakness. Taiwan? Sure let them rule themselves. But i can understand that China is nervous about an island nation so close by the mainland that is so heavely under the control of the usa.

Hong Kong? Sorry but it is China. Legally and ethically. It was only temporarely under Brittish rule. You can rent a house for a longt tme but it still isnt your house.
Intelectual property theft? hilarious. Most intelectual property exchange was and is legal and ethical, nothing forced. "if you want to do busines in our country andbenefit from cheap labour , you have to share your knowledge." Thats VERY FAIR.
The Uzguirs? Well, just like the usa and the west, China has a problem with muslim extremism and terrorism. The usa's "solution" is to simply invade other countries, bomb cities, start wars. China's solution is to put muslims in "education camps". I am not sure which option is the best...
Anyway, its all a political game and we all have to be anti China but its all for the benefit of the usa. Fearmongering. Thats why Canada, and Europe, are less anti China, and ONLY bc they fear being punished by the usa.
China in just a few decades has turned the poverty in their country, in an economic success. Billions of people have been lifted from poverty into prosperity. Now thats pretty good and only a smart country can do that. So instead of following the usa in bullying China, we should more look to the facts and whats happening in China.
Erm, lastly, the last years in the usa culminating in last weeks dramatic events, is very telling about the usa. And daily death rate of 4000 ppl in the usa? sounds like a hopeless ----- country to me. Lots to do for the good ppl in the usa to rebuild their country, and one thing instead of bullying china better look and learn from china.
Pollution? u r kidding. A decade or longer ago you would be right. Things are changing fast though in China. China makes great effort to go green.
Human rights violations. I'll give you that. no need to downplay that. But there is also structural human rights violations in the usa, especially if you are poor or black.
Huawei. Hilarious. The usa claims that its a security risk bc "the Chinese" will use it for espionage. More likely the usa fears they themselves cannot use it anymore to spy on their global partners and global friends and world leaders and indeed steal economic secrets from their western parrners. Thanks to Wikileaks we found out the usa secretly lustens to telephone calls of world leaders, in order to get a strategic economic advantage.
All in all, this is not about standing up for human rights and democracy, all these concepts are just abused just to wreck economic growth of China. The usa simply cannot compete but as usual tries to win by wrecking other countries. as if the usa, or most of us, REALLY care about Uzguirs.l we hardly can spell the word nor did we ever meet an "Uzguir" nor did we ever read in depth about where they live and their history.
And yeah, much respect for any country that can turn itself from one of the worlds poorest countries into one of the strongest economies and lifting billions of ppl out of economic misery, in just a few decades. And that brings global tensions but to start a war is not the solution.

Blaming the U.S. for the spread of Covid, now that is funny. As well why do you have to compare the U.S. to China? The topic is about China, not the U.S. Just can't help yourself I guess. Anyway if you are young enough to live for awhile yet you will see what China is all about, no need for me to explain further.chopperjoey wrote: ↑January 15, 2021, 10:11 amCovid originated in China but only bc of the utter incompetence of countries like the usa it could grow into a pandemic that still rages on. There are a few comrades here who follow Chairman Papa Farang's Little Red Book. One of their tactics is to try and turn any analysis of China to one of discussing the real or imagined foibles of the U.S.A.

Sure, sure. Defend China , you definitely got the wrong end of the stick , I don't give a monkey's about China ,I'm not Chinese ,I've definitely got no chance of ever going there. Seems the vast majority of Chinese people don't give a rats ass about democracy , but hypocrisy I don't like . flapping your gums from the far side of the world about how other people live is just pathetic . if you feel so strongly about it I'm sure there's some Chinese embassy you could go and demonstrate outside ? , no ? Too much effort . how about a strongly worded letter to them then ,that should make a difference, no? Too much effort ? Try not to be a hypocrite. A small troll through the forum topics will demonstrate your negative attacks on the U.S., which is strange since you live on the far side of the world from it.

Okay, and now we all have to be "outraged" bc China did breach an agreement forced by other countries, about ruling their own country. Yes of course, the usa just loves it and fully supports it when local agitators keep on wrecking foreign countries, in this case Hong Kong.
Sorry, but the usa has MUCH LONGER LIST of breaching agreements and just spitting in the face of their own allies. The HK agreement just concerns Hong Kong which is part of China. (sorry, facts!) The usa breaching and spitting on the Paris Climate agreement, just to mention a recent example, concerns not the usa but the whole world.
The usa is not "defending free speech and democacry", its just warmongering against China. Nothing new there, thats America.
China is fast growing and expanding and proactive, sure there are some tensions thats natural, but warmongering and rather dumb arguments and saying things like "China is a cancer" are not the solution.
Its all rather rascist actually. Trump calls African countries "----- countries" and here on the forum we see "China is a cancer". Its the basis of rascism, still a very deep problem in the usa
China is a lot less judgemental about other countries and cultures. Lots to learn from China. (And also from the usa, great country but with some serious problems and a rather ------ attitude sometimes.)

Please keep on topic, chopperjoey. If you want to begin a topic on the U.S.A., do so on your own thread. Good luck with that. You should not try to impose your off-topic views on this thread. Thanks for the understanding and consideration.
