Harry and Sparkle
Re: Harry and Sparkle
While our institution in the US pales in age comparison to the UK, it's nice to know that we've adapted to the times and don't call out our history every time there's a move afoot to modernize.....much to the dismay of confederates or racists or misogynists or the otherwise downtrodden. If there's such a concern with keeping the tradition, maybe the best way is to inbreed and prevent outsiders from bringing a new way of thinking into the monarchy.

Re: Harry and Sparkle
The whole thing is a joke. Watched TV yesterday ,some poor guy in Lebanon who's only way to earn is fishing with a rod, he barters the fish for other goods to support his wife and 3 disabled children. He too feels suicidal , but he has a family to look after so he can't kill himself. Now that's someone I feel sorry for , as they say its better to be depressed in a bently than riding on the back of a donkey, not that the poor guy could even afford a donkey. As for we're depressed because some one said our baby might be brown, get over it .something called genetics could have given them a ginger minger, ginger or brown ,I'd go for brown any day of the week. The whole thing is pathetic

With the subtle difference that the baker gave an example of something that is far, far more relevant than some guys simply calling a woman they don't even know a liar based on a common and as yet unsubstantiated narrative. Talk of a "gullible Harry" or a "manipulative Meghan" may be more about projecting personal experiences than anything else.

True American institutions are young compared to the British, however in America you STILL talk about the founding fathers what they thought or wanted from the writing of the Constitution to how they behaved in a particular manner about current situations .parrot wrote: ↑March 12, 2021, 3:38 amWhile our institution in the US pales in age comparison to the UK, it's nice to know that we've adapted to the times and don't call out our history every time there's a move afoot to modernize.....much to the dismay of confederates or racists or misogynists or the otherwise downtrodden. So inadvertently Americans do call on history to justify or otherwise actions in todays world. So your answer to the British problems seems to be apt with your problems .
Re: Harry and Sparkle
^ Valid point but what about the inbreeding? The US's founding fathers and their progeny aren't running a "closed shop" like the British and other European monarchies do.
Re: Harry and Sparkle
A quick trip to some states would show you that inbreeding is or has been the norm . Judging by some of the comments shown on international media, it would seem more than even I would care to admit.
Re: Harry and Sparkle
A rather dated trope there KP. I haven't read anywhere in American history of royal clans from Kentucky or Tennessee, have you?
"... Even so, it feels a little late for the royals to be taking an interest in genetics. A child being a quarter African American is somewhat less of a talking point than one side of that child’s family having repeatedly bred with its cousins for half the 19th and 20th centuries. ..."

Harry still can't keep his gob shut and appears to say the Queen of Australia (and other places) and Prince Charles were poor parents:

He needs a bit of an old fashioned lecture from KP.
