Oliver Schultz (Soldier C) doesn't look like he's under any pressure when he shoots his unarmed Afghan victim.

Anyway, he'll get his day in court, and justice will prevail - which is more than you can say for the unfortunate guy in the wheat field.

Pretty much yes.
If you were under pressure, trying to survive.
But you would not have any idea about that would you. Pontificating about something you have never experienced, what a star of a Good Chap.
Must be lots of good Aussie's wondering why they bothered.
Not sure about how you distinguish a 'good' Aussie. There will be some that think like you, same in every society in the world. The vast majority will consider this action as a blight on the reputation of the Australian Defence Force which is held in high regard internationally.
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

An update.
Defence Department sets out compensation plan for unlawful Afghanistan killings

- In short: A compensation plan has been set out for the families of people found to have been unlawfully killed or abused by Australian special forces in Afghanistan.

- Compensation was one of the recommendations from the 2020 Brereton report that found Australian defence forces were involved in the "murder" of 39 prisoners and civilians in Afghanistan.

- What's next? It's expected the federal government will make further announcements about its response to the Afghanistan Inquiry report in the months ahead.

Only 1 significant charge laid so far from events arising from reportedly disgraceful behaviour by a few SAS and other special forces in Afghanistan. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-n ... isk-police

Let's hope there is no institutional & political cover-up, and accountability will follow.

Have you even looked at the video My Good Chap. Two serving soldiers were so committed that they could even diagnose that the poor wee Afghani had not been shooting at Aussie soldiers a few seconds before but was Intellectually challenged. Must admit the thought never crossed my mind when bullets were cracking around.
No doubt you will have some response based on experience, My Good Chap.

My Dear Good Chap
Just what are you now pontificating about.
How can a 'responsible' media outlet quote 2 soldiers who supposedly made comments about someone's mental health state.

What do you guess is that agenda, noos?

And how is it even remotely relevant?

The video sorta speaks for itself for the guy shot in the wheat field, who is not the same as Soldier C's second alleged victim - the mentally impaired guy.

And the latter's condition is backed up later in the video in an interview with a family member.

By adding a supposed quote by alleged members of the Armed Forces who are not in anyway qualified to comment on the mental condition of a stranger. Makes the nefarious claims by the by the rag slightly more plausible rather than just the claims by a single family member who is in no doubt in receipt of payment by the rag that the possible terrorist was suffering some sort of mental instability while possibly trying to kill Australian soldiers.

Doesn't matter if he was mentally impaired or not. He was a prisoner that was murdered. Expressly forbidden by the Geneva convention. Individual soldiers are tasked to perform their duties under the rules of war.

This was murder plain and simple

Keep 'em coming, Alex.

Not a skerrick of evidence to support your wild speculations, or baseless allegations.

Bloody hilarious. 🤣

The Geneva Convention is a set of rules that members of a 'uniformed' armed force are lawfully supposed to abide by. It is not designed to give rights to terrorists or people who wear civilian clothes to hide their terrorist activities or any others who do not abide by the Geneva Convention. You know the ones who I mean, the ones who normally end everything with praises to their God as if this gives them the right to perform atrocities. Similarly when the Convention is only one sided then its no longer relevant.

So where is your evidence that says you are correct or are you just repeating articles in what you fondly call Verifiable International Sources that you continually refuse to identify.

Australia is criminalising disabled children and allegedly keeping them “in cages” in police watch houses, according to Australia’s national children’s commissioner.
Hollonds is calling for media organisations to be held accountable for irresponsible reporting on youth crime and for politicians to be called out for ignoring the best international evidence on dealing with children in the justice system.

Good to see that surprisingly you can show some self criticism, thought you would never show that level of intelligence.
