A good friend of mine is a pilot (ATP 747 and CFI) and a JW from Norway. One day we had a long debate about God. Every time I'd make a point he'd happily accept it's truth. In the end I thought maybe he'd have some sort of epiphany and convert to sanity... but to my absolute amazement he ended by saying... God put all this evidence here to trick us, so he could find the true believers. After that I knew there is no way to make some people see the light. When a believer readily admits that his God is lying to everybody just to see who will ignore all the evidence and still "believe", it's over. This species is finished I think.

Maybe in a billion years another life form will evolve and won't be as completely screwed up as homo sapien.... let's hope [-o<

The Earth is less than 6,000 years old, the Earth is flat, the Earth can stop spinning instantaneously without a single sole being flung off into space.... evolution is untrue, let the memes spread and see what you get. Let them teach your children non-science in school. Why take science courses in school at all, when the Bible tells us all we really need to know. We'll regress back to treating disease with witchcraft. I know, slippery slope fallacy and all that, but they are trying to take over school-boards across the USA and teach children creationism. I’m sure that some of you have been wondering when this preacher boy was going to chime in and give my two cent’s worth, so this will be my first and last comment on this topic:

In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount He uses dogs and pigs as representative of those who would ridicule, reject, and blaspheme the Gospel of Christ once it is presented to them. Believers are not to expose the Gospel to those who have no other purpose than to trample it and return to their own evil ways. Repeatedly sharing the Gospel with someone who continually scoffs and ridicules Christ is like casting pearls before swine. Therefore, in Matthew 7:6 Jesus pointedly says:

“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces."

This is exactly what is happening now with this topic, and there is a very good explanation in the Bible for this anomaly. You see, in Romans 3 there are verses which describes the corrupt and depraved state of all men, till grace restrain or change them:

“There is none righteous, no, not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.

Romans 8:7 goes further to declare the reason for this condition.

"Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

In Matthew 13 Jesus told His disciples:

“Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.”

In other words, a man with an unregenerate heart hates God; and because He hates God, when he is exposed to the Word of God he immediately rejects it and refuses to have his spirit illuminated by it. Therefore, that man will not be given more light (revelation knowledge, wisdom and understanding), and even the little light that he already possesses will be taken from him.

So, I can tell you without hesitation that much of what we are now reading on this topic is the result of comments being made by men who are spiritually blind and are nothing more than dead men walking who are unable to come to a knowledge of the Truth, Jesus Christ, because they have made a conscious decision to walk in darkness. God has simply granted you your request!

When someone accuses someone else of being a fool for believing in God, the truth is that faith is based upon a belief. Spiritual people have to take a leap of faith. It can't be proved. Whether anyone believes in God is their business. However, when anyone fails to acknowledge the value of Judeo-Christian religion steeped in the Western Culture idea that every human being has equal worth under God, then the society devolves into a socialism that ends up demeaning the human being individually. The collective takes over.

Each individual has their own relationship with God -- or not. You can't argue your position into someone else's position.

Even atheism has its root in Judeo-Christian philosophy. Atheism doesn't exist in the Islamic world. The freedom to be an atheist only exists in Western Civilization. The freedoms that the whole Left creates its worldview on is within a milieu that was created by a religion that it despises.

I remember yrs ago resuscitating a patient in Cardiac Arrest. Ventricular Fibrillation was the ECG.

Using a defib several times and a cocktail of drugs his ECG was reverted to a normal rhythm with cardiac output.

Transferred by ambulance and admitted to ICU for ongoing stabilisation.

Went to see him the next day. Surrounded by family and relatives . ICU Director introduced me to the family as the IC Paramedic who resuscitated their husband father etc.

Was told that it was God who allowed him to survive and not clinical intervention.
