Thailand imported 500,000 tonnes of fertiliser from Russia last year, using a port in Ukraine. Each year, Thailand imports a total of 5 million tonnes of fertiliser worth about 70.1 billion baht, mainly from the Middle East, Belarus, Russia, Canada, China and Europe.
Thailand only produces 8ish% of its fertilizers.

25 years of potash 300-500 meters down on the east and southeast areas of Udon Thani... Further Potash deposits over in Khammouane Lao are being mined now, trucked up to Vientiane and onto freight cars for further shipment to China... Thailand has the resources to be fertilizer independent if they could figure out a way to keep it environmentally acceptable. Oh, it would add 350-500 jobs too...

Bumping. Why do the Russians fight so dirty? Is it something in their culture?

Fighting dirty sure brings up many images from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, no.

Nobody's handing out medals for carrying out the dirtiest war but wasn't the second Sino-Japanese conflict one of the more horrific displays of man's inhumanity to man? With the prospect of a substantial hit on Ukraine's agribusiness, the famine that was a localized event in the far east about 80 years ago is going to be more global this time around.

Yes, I agree but I like to think for the ordinary American soldier, Mai Lai was more an exception than a norm. I have the impression the Russians are capable of a Mai Lai every damn day.

The U.S. carpet bombing of Cambodia seemed to be a daily event. The use of agent Orange was another example of fighting dirty, no.

The bombing campaign was to deny the resupply of troops in the South. Whether Cambodia or even Laos had quietly given permission or not the HCM Trail was a legitimate target. Agent Orange was used as a defoliant and not as a chemical weapon. It was years later that its horrible long term effects on people was discovered. Bit different to Russia's actions in Ukraine just now.

No! Back in the 60s, early 70s Agent Orange (a form of Glycosate) was used as a defoliant to clear the jungles and in an effort to expose supply routes from the North and clear areas around defense zones. The effect on humans was not known at the time and as it turns out an error of judgment much like asbestos and other materials now known to be of harm.

Maybe LYM was conflating Agent Orange with napalm? Either way, seems to think America's wars are the only yardstick by which conflict horror should be gauged.

here's a good site for the actual tactical battle situation in Ukraine. I've no idea where the guy gets all the data but it looks good. https://medium.com/@x_TomCooper_x

here's a Radar Tracker site. You can click on the aircraft outline and it'll pop up with a lot of info plus its course track. Over Poland every day now starting late morning our time you'll find a variety of aerical refuelling tankers (KC135's Airbus MRTT's), Intel birds (JSTARs, RC135 Rivet Joint, AWACS) and even a Swedish Signals Intelligence bird (a Gulfstream that racetracks for about 9 hours a day along the Polish/Ukrainian/Belarus border). Then you can slide down to the Romanian/Moldovan/Ukrainian border and find other Intel birds (French G500, US Navy EP3E) as well as Global Hawk drones up at 51000 feet. All those tankers over Poland and down over Romania aren't refueling the Intel birds so there must be squadrons of fighters flying constant Combat Air Patrols along the border. Interesting insights as well as a stunning view of the thousands of aircraft flying around the world daily. https://www.flightradar24.com/multiview/50.68,21.65/8
