Pressure on PM as minister quits

James Purnell has become the third cabinet minister to resign as pressure grows on Gordon Brown's leadership of the Labour Party.

The work and pensions secretary said in a letter to the Sun and Times he was stepping down to trigger a debate.

The home secretary and communities secretary had already announced they were standing down from cabinet.

Mr Brown is set to reshuffle his cabinet as he fights to survive as prime minister.

This will trigger a leadership election in the Labour Party or hopefully lead to a General Election.

I watched PM's question time yesterday and David Camermoron made himself look a complete idiot. He had enough on GB to annihilate him but his attempt was pathetic. After looking down the list of hopefuls that could possibly take over from Mr Brown, however much I am not in his favor, there is nothing or nobody to be desired.

Great mate, be under no illusion that even though the Tories will win the next Election, they won't be much better. Red or Blue, these people are all the same, self serving.
