Ha.
America wasn't destructive when they took slaves.
The UK wasn't destructive when it ruled through empire.
Never mind. Won't be long before China enslaves all of us.

Re: China's destructive exploitation of Africa
Fewer than 350,000 enslaved people were imported from Africa into the American Colonies. The British slave trade took the vast majority of slaves to South America and the Caribbean.
The "Scramble for Africa" was the occupation, division, and colonisation of African territory by Western European powers between 1881 and 1914. The epic scale of that clusterphuck served to hobble Africa far more than any trade in slaves, including the far more common slave trade within Africa.

The story of China's exploitation included the problem of Chinese-African children being abandoned by their fathers who returned to China. Now this "problem" could be reduced or eliminated if China decided to use these offspring as part of a plan to colonize African nations. Incentives might be introduce to persuade such fathers to remain in Africa and become Africans citizen. The relatives of these fathers might be allowed to immigrate to Africa to extend the Afro-Chinese families. Something of this sort might become part of the Chinese overall plan to create a presence in the African nations. Just a thought.

Afro-Chinese -- somehow, I doubt this idea will have legs. Africa (it's a continent, not a country) in the Chinese view, is a land to be exploited, not colonized. A little like Australia.
